Wow...I'm always concerned when you have so much money tied up at what could be one ubiquitous position at F/C in todays NBA...It's a gamble but when you think about it, how many free agents are signing with NO...AD, Boogie and Holiday could be interesting..They need some three point shooters and defensive players...
Wow. Not sure how to view this. DMC is probably the best big in the nba but I think Sac needed to move on. Jrue isn't coming to the Knicks.

DMC is the best center on the planet. But after Malone it wasn't working in Sac. Huge trade but I think worth the risk. I think they were disappointed with Heild. The picks could come back to haunt them but if a guy like DMC is available you make that move.

I just really don't see Cousins and AD working together... though I guess they both have range. Cousins should average like 6 assists per game directly to AD for lobs.
Ah, this explains it a little more - Kings would've lost their own first rounder if it fell out of the top ten.
I was hoping Cousins went to Boston... in part to inspire Cleveland to try to make a move on Melo, in part because that Boston team would've been a helluva lot of fun.
Langston likely to be waived! Sign him up, Phil!
I wonder if Sacto would waive Tyreke Evans? I've always been curious about his fit for the Triangle. I guess there's always this summer.
That's a huge package to give up for Cousins... man, I don't know... I think Sacramento won that trade.

Speculation is that he is giving waived. Gallo is also supposed to be waived. Tyreke would be a great pick up on a league minimum trial. Also, I wonder if the knick claim Gallo. He was a Gaines find and his deal isn't unreasonable. They could move KOQ for a pick to create the space.

What did they really give up besides a 1st rd pick and some below average players? Buddy Hield has looked terrible too. The more I think about the deal the better it is for N.O.

If only the Knicks could trade them Phil and Rambis to run the triangle. The triple post offense would solve all their potential problems. Hey, It worked for Gasol and Bynum.
Wow, weird trade all around. I would have thought Sacramento could have gotten more out of Boston; a late lotto pick, Hield (who's been terrible and is already 23), and some flotsam doesn't seem like enough. And how does Cousins fit next to Anthony Davis in New Orleans? Is NOP actually better after this?

Yeah, I really question if New Orleans will get better with this move. We'll see, I guess.
Sacramento ensures they keep their own pick, which if it falls out of the top ten would go to the Bulls or something.
I dunno, I agree it's a weird trade. Indications are that Boston was not interested and is focusing on Jimmy Butler...
Pelicans have the best 4 and 5 in the league. They have a great point guard that I am sure will resign with them for the most money anyone can pay.

They didn't give up much for the talent they got.
