We are basically paying him $25 mil per year due to the fact that he plays 22 MPG. How do we get rid of him?

Rose we either trade for smaller contracts that can be traded later or just let him walk for nothing and use that cap space to sign someone outright.

For Rose I listed all the options and non options in the Rose trade thread:

As for Noah, we have a max slot free this offseason, and if we get rid of melo we have more space. We aren't adding any significant free agents for a few year so why are you sweating Noah's deal? He's a good leader, good locker room guy, I'd don't get why people are so desperate to get rid of him, we don't need the salary or the roster spot.

Noah trade idea ??? Lol.

The only way anyone takes Noah off our hands is if we give up a first round pick, which we should not do. We will likely trade KOQ at some point, so Noah will become useful again as a backup.

SMDH! Why? Because he takes 17M off cap for next three years!! Problem will be, Phil will have to give him minutes or admit trade was bad. And we all know Phil won't ever do that.

As mentioned, he is here to stay unless we give away a pick or take on another shitty contract.

if there wasn't the cap I'd say we could get a gift card to the Cheesecake Factory for Noah...

I think the best course of action with Noah is to wait until next year. Hopefully he's healthy then and we can get an expiring for him

I was looking at the lakers cap - they have some bad deals - I was thinking Mozgov & Deng for Noah with filler and draft picks coming our way- I Figured you're trading a bad contract for another bad contract and hoping that they can contribute more at a position of need.

So the deal might be swapping Noah for Deng. Equal bad money, both not reallly playing.

There's no point in dealing Noah. We can't deal him without attaching something of value and taking back another equally bad contract. He has value as a leader in the locker room and development of Willy and KP. He can play a limited bench role. Dealing him is not addition by subtraction, because anything you get in return would be just as bad, only without the leadership qualities most likely.
