Doesn't say Houston wants to trade him

Just traded for Lou
No more playing time for Beverly
How can teams be pursuing a guy who is not available?
The Knicks should start pursuing Karl Anthony Towns and Giannis Antetokounmpo, too.

Beverly has started every game he's played this season and the Rockets have a much better record when he's healthy. Lou Williams is going to come off their bench.
how would this help the rebuild?

example. Exactly the kind of guy I want my young players around. He's one of the best 3&D players in the league. If we go young its always the defense that is the toughest to teach and the last to catch up. Beverly helps.
Rebuilding doesnt have to mean just drafting and tanking. You are allowed to have role players, especially ones that positively impact the development of your young guys. This would be a great pickup for the Knicks and one of the few guys I would be good using KOQ to aquire. KOQ and a 2nd rounder for Beverly would be good. Beverly also has a fantastic contract.

You're not getting this guy for free though and will likely have to give away assets that are key to an expeditious rebuild. Therein lies the problem and is ultimately why I'd pass.

I am wondering if they would be interested in a Courtney Lee.
I would be all for a plan to get Beverly and Avery Bradley going into next season.
Houston gets a call from Cavs...hey is Patrick Beverley available.
Houston internally...shit we dont play defense anyway...we score like 130 points a game...we could part ways with him if we get someone on the up...maybe a pick too.
Cavs...so whatchall want?
Houston...come back to you in a few.
Houston to Grapevine...yeah you know we got a few calls from different teams about Beverley...including the Knicks.
Grapevine to Stein to Twitter...Knicks interested in Beverley.
Houston...suckas...everyone knows Knicks overpay...this should turn the heat up on the Cavs.
Why this team always trade for the players who has passed their prime?
MDA doesn't like players like Beverly. Not sure if he would fit here as well.
