Done. Now on to a whipping tonight.
Ultimately, seems like Phil was only interested in bringing in picks and is focused on the draft, which most should be happy about since it appears a total rebuild is the plan. Need to cut Rose though.
Unless there was a power move to be made that got back equal or better talent, or 1st rnd picks, why do anything

A latte with extra whip

True I mean why not shake up a team that has gone 9-24 in its last 33 games. Were close to something special here! Now we have more teasm in the tank--we might be able to win a few more--but we wont pass Miami not a chance for the 8 seed.

At this point, I'm not cutting Rose... I'm not going to reward him with a playoff run with another team (probably Cleveland). Nah fam... get out there and lose us some more games!
Biggest move of the NBA trade deadline ... Chris Bosh signing with TNT!
I guess its better than messing up again.
Knicks probably tried to pkg terrible assets with good ones. They also seemed to have zero interest in trading Lee which is silly.

They couldn't trade Lee--it just says to a FA sign with the Knicks an theyll trade you in 6 months.

Atypical, but I agree with 1248 here. No point making bad trades just to make some fans happy. If PJax is really looking forward to the draft, then I expect us to be doing some losing, and Horny better initiate the yoot movement starting now.
Cut Rose perhaps, and limit Melo's minutes.

just pin him to the pine. I don't see any reason to do him any favors, especially since his pre-season" and his handle barring the Knicks by being a no-show
Sounds like Phil wanted something or someone else with Rubio.
Minny came to us...TT supposedly interested in Rose...don't see any reason not to ask for something more from T-Wolves.
In the past we would have thrown in our two 2nd Rnd picks with Rose to acquire Rubio.
Begley to be on Kay show in a couple of minutues.
I don't even think there was even a deal
On the table. This is all made up crap.

Knicks have at least three very tradeable assets: Rose, Lee, and KO'Q and swung and missed. Whatever they're paying Phil it's the worst investment in the NBA.

- Not many teams can do a salary match for Rose. Also he's a limited fit for a lot of rosters. Late team chemistry development is an open problem with deadline trades and some players are more perceived to be seamless than others ( i.e. the Phoenix Suns version of Grant Hill could play with anyone, in any team, in any system and fit into any locker room) while others become cautionary takes ( i.e. Rondo)
Why trade for a player likely to be cut anyway?
- As rumored and stated, the Knicks wanted a 1st round pick for Quinn, if that was so, they moved too late. The market was glutted with centers this deadline.
- Lee's back end of the contract, Years 3 and 4, are going to look really really really bad. The contract is not as enticing as some here want to make it out to be. Any team trading for Lee can't just think about this year, but the next three after it.

Yeah that's a lie.... they wanted Rose. They wanted to dump Rubio contract... the Knicks have nothing to lose by standing pat.... Stein is a liar

I would have liked to see Rose moved, but you also have to factor in they may not have wanted to take on salary. As for Lee and KOQ I see them as keepers to be honest. I like Lee as a stable vet on a good contract who plays the right way. Part of my motivation to move Melo is he' really only effective at the 4 at this point and I would like to see KP/Willy/KOQ/Noah play the 4/5 with some better perimeter D. Even if thats Lance/Lee that's our future. KOQ can be a late bloomer. KOQ has taken a very nice step forward this year. Ben Wallace was a late bloomer also... no I'm not saying that KOQ is the next big ben, but I am saying when 26 year old athletic bigs take a step forward in play like KOQ did this year you keep em and keep developing them. For all I know KOQ/Willy/KP end up being one of the better big man rotations in the NBA. Or maybe they become fodder for an Isiah Thomas trade for Rudy Gay next year. One never knows, but aside from Rose/Melo there is nobody here I am looking to cash in on. Lance's value is low as he's been hurt but I value him and what he brings. Kuz/Noah/Lee... it dodgy trading guys you sign in b2b years. I think that looks really bad for FAs.

Minny was always suspect. C'mon, they're realizing Knicks willing to trade him, and concluding that they can just wait until summer and sign him as a FA; Minny wanted to dump Rubio (which may be tougher)
