Knicks · Does melo have too much pride to tank? (page 1)

I wonder if players in the nba understand how tanking works. I think they do they just have too much pride for it. Phil has prob told melo about it and he prob said "fuck that I'm here to win." Which is why we should have traded him already, even for a bag of peanuts.

There is not one player in the NBA or any league who should ever be tanking. If they are, then they don't belong in the NBA. Tanking is a coaching and front office thing. When it comes to the players on the court, I want them laying it all on the line even if Michael Jordan is in the draft.

As for Melo, he still has to lead by example. If he's going to just tank on the court then why shouldn't Willy or Kuz, who are fighting for careers and better contracts still?

Holy crap....PLAYERS DON'T TANK AND GM"s DON'T ASK PLAYERS TO TANK.

Really stupid topic. How does an NBA player tank? Miss shots on purpose? NO NBA PLAYER WILL TANK ON PURPOSE. You want to tank then you don't play him and play lesser players
