It's really interesting to see how hard it is for Rose to make the pass back to the Pop guy after the screen when he is at the 3pt line. I see other guards make this pass consistently but Rose seems to struggle with it.

He used to make this pass to the mid range Pop guy when he played with the Bulls all the time because of Taj and Boozer's shooting ability. Has a few feet thrown off his rhythm or what?

On the contrary I think he needs to add a little more arc on his 3
I also think he doesn't lift enough off his legs on his 3
Physical conditioning - strength stamina etc are the number one thing KP needs to work on. He gets winded and also looks like his legs aren't always behind his shot.

But I want him shooting lots of 3's.

KP's 1st game back and in the 1st half 14-6-2 assists in 18 minutes. He's clearly winded and a step slow. Not playing great but still tho...

He is playing like a real point guard tonight

So much talent on this team with KP Melo Rose such a shame we messed it up so bad

I have to say I think if Lance Thomas had been healthy all season we would be about 5 wins better right now. He completely changes the way the team tries on D.

I'm on the record as saying that this team already has great role players for next season in Lee, Lance, Holiday (hope he resigns), KO, Baker, and even a healthy Noah. At this point in his career, Noah is a role player (maybe not even a starter) but still can be effective. All these players will have a year under their belt of a new coach and new system and are sold role/team players you need to win. We're really not in that bad of shape as it seems.

I don't mind him shooting 3's as long as his feet are set and they're not from super long range like a lot of them are. I would like him to play more inside also being that he's 7'3" but will need to add strength.

Are you watching the ball and player movement or just looking to make stupid points?

I didn't say the ball wasn't moving..I said he hasn't touch the ball but twice, KUZ has been way more involve then KP. He is just not an aggressive player, and he will never demand the ball. He just plays within the offense..He's not a alpha player. They don't hinder him, he just doesn't make his presence felt, like Towns or most big men

Give it time. I think people are being way too hasty with KP. He's still got more development ahead of him. Just remember he's just getting back.

It's amazing how people expect the world from him. I don't want him demanding the ball and chasing it down like Melo does yet. I want the ball to move and Porzingis be targeted in scoring situations, like cuts to the basket and high screens for the short jumper.

I'm sure his IQ will level up in time, and if there's no rush, I don't understand the logic in forcing a bad melo trade that will put a lot more pressure on KP and willy..

Also, rose looks really good, i know he doesn't pass a lot, but he's been terrific at making layups..Im sure thats why they didn't think twice about waiving him at the deadline. The pressure that he puts on opposing pg's, he's a fkng blur

Tonight is one of the few nights where Rose is very alert where teammates are
I don't know what happened but the last few games Rose has played hard on both ends and looked to pass the ball.

Where was this point guard like play before the all star break ??

Orlando announcers raving about porzingis defense. Talking about how players shoot 13% under their season average at the rim when defended by him.

KP got his money's worth on his last trey as he appeared to be several feet behind the line.

Yeah and they also said something important

For a YOUNG player

So the obvious thing is he's very early in his career and still learning his defense and all the tricks.

Porzingis is in a nice groove right now. Everyone is looking for him and he is making plays and scoring buckets.

That's why KP needs to keep improving his 3 ball
Ideally in his prime he is able to get 18-20 shots off easily 6-7 of them behind the arc.

Yup. Guys have to remember KP hasn't been able to run so he's not all the way back in shape but still he's having an impact. You look up and he's got 19.
