Knicks · Is Chasson... "The One" (page 1)

I hate to repost Berman but thought this was interesting....

Was out meant to be that we got him back? If Chasson our phones for the future? Or is he our sixth man. Dude reminds me of Lou Williams or Bobby Jackson from sactown fame.

Hope he plays tonight. He should've been on the team all year.

At the time the Knicks thought they were a playoff team. They were actually... That just grinds my gears.

Well he's back where he belongs... would love to see him and Baker together. Neither are a true pg so they should be able to feed off each otger

those are damn good players. What I liked about Randle is he can score and see the floor. He's small and not doesnt really overcome that with athleticism. Still, he's plenty quick and shifty. I think he's going to really struggle on D and there will be times they go at him 3-4x in a row down the floor and beat him up a little. However I think he can play on offense. He (potentially) brings much more balance than Jennings did. Randle will score and facilitate with some balance. He knows how to play. Lets see if he can stay on the floor. Good story and likable guy.

He played in the triangle in college. That's why I referenced "the one".

I think he's got much better NBA potential then Baker.

I agree... Chasson Randle could be a sixth man or if he really steps up into his own he could be a real scorer in the league. The way he pulls up for that jumper is so old school. I would encourage him to keep shooting like World B. Free baby!

SupremeCommander @ 3/2/2017 8:55 AM
I have no idea if Chasson Randle is capable of being a sixth man of the year or not... what I do know is the triangle can make PGs like Smush Parker look like studs.

Traditionally the triangle is horrible for point guards.... unless they are scorers. So yeah... it should work for Chasson. It got him into the league. The key thing here is Chasson is a great kid. Smush Parker was an ego maniac that talked his way out of the league. Chasson has some good juju on his side

Randle can score and run an offense. I was really shocked we went with Baker over him.

If the Knicks make the playoffs, thus kid might be our only chance at getting a stud point guard.

Randle Chasson and Galloway should have been on the Knicks roster at the start of the season (not Baker & Sasha). Galloway & Jennings & Quinn & Willie & Kuz were suppose to be our 2nd unit team.

I like Langston but he priced himself out. BTW he's making $5mm and shooting 37%. What we saw from LG 2nd half of last year was worrisome and he picked up right where he left off. Good hustle guy but he's shooting his way right out of the league

Yes, he has Triangle Skills, I get it.
Its the Hope and Hype. Then when phil lets him go fans get all pissy like we let the second coming of Clyde slip.
We owed him a chance. He got one in PHilly, but we owed him this. I hope he proves worthy of it, and makes the team.
Im not sure he is quick enough and he is not big enough.
We need Brian Shaw types that can come off the bench and play guard and shoot. Don't matter what you call him, a PG, or SG.
Sasha is 6-8, long, can shoot, play pesky defense and knows the triangle. He has no upside. He don't get paid much either.
Thats why he is here. Baker is that kind of guy, its why he stuck.

Randle is perfect for the Knicks ..
We never used Sasha veteran experience in a lineup to build a triangle strategy throughout the season .. not given Sasha a chance to add 12 to 20 minute of playing-time for 5 to 10 games this season to be a part of the team is not good ..
Plus the triangle offense we been using has only been effective against below .400 teams ..
We had over 10 different starter PG during the Melo era plus 5 different head-coaches n 3 differ GM ..
Phil was suppose to trade Melo on the Feb deadline!!!
