Knicks · We should def consider trading up for Josh Jackson (page 1)

He's the perfect triangle sf for us. Maybe our pick plus Lee and willy? I HATE to lose willy but I can see that as that only deal possible.
EnySpree @ 4/3/2017 6:34 AM
No...

We can still get a good player if we don't get Josh..... but if we could trade Lee and another player for a 1st then yes. Willy is untradable right now... unless it's for any established star

I'd agree we have too many holes in the roster. Maybe if we can package up our second rounders to move up this draft - maybe.

But, we should hope and pray for our ping pong balls to land us the best draft position possible.

And then there is always next year!

EnySpree @ 4/3/2017 7:51 AM
I would love to get the guy but I have a wet fantasy about all the top 10 prospects. It's torture waiting for this draft lottery.
nyk4ever @ 4/3/2017 8:21 AM
how are we trading up when we don't even know what your draft position is yet?

you guys need to chill the fuck out with the draft-picks trades already.

lol - agree

that said, I am definitely warming up to the idea of Josh Jackson, even though this year the draft is loaded with points and we pretty much never have a decent PG

Trade Lee+Willy and our pick just to get a SF who hasn't played a single game in NBA?

No. Just...no.

Let's pick where we land, which will hopefully be top 5. We will get a terrific player. No sense giving up core assets for a "chance" that the guy we target will blow up for us.

I think there are too many prospects as good or possibly better than Jackson to do that. If the Knicks were able to get the 3rd pick I'd even hope they'd trade back with the kings even if they had to give up Lee/O'quinn for both top 10 picks plus a second rd swap.
crzymdups @ 4/3/2017 11:21 AM
I would love to get Josh Jackson... but we have nothing to trade to get up that high... at least nothing that I am interested in parting with.

I'm still hopeful we can jump into the top 3... but have to be realistic that that's a long shot.
