Knicks · Last TankThread: Who is the better Tank Commander, Knicks or Sixers? (page 6)

Because I'm an incurable optimist I'm hoping the power of karma (trying to win. Playing melo. Cheering for him. Young players like baker ndour randle cherishing the moment) will outweigh an extra ping pong ball
Uptown @ 4/12/2017 10:30 PM
This could be the Steph Curry draft all over again...
SocraticBallin22 @ 4/12/2017 10:30 PM
Do we really have such an ignorant fan base to cheer at the Garden down the stretch for the win? I refuse to believe this. Aren't we supposed to be the most sophisticated and educated fans in the league? Apparently not. Their reactions insulted me as a Knick fan.
WaltLongmire @ 4/12/2017 10:30 PM
Anybody doubt that we were going to fuck this up...

Just stupid, I'm sorry.

Both teams were playing to win with the guys out there, but it figures we would hit big shots down the stretch when there was no point in winning.

Just dumb.

Maybe we get lucky and win the coin toss, but that would go against our usual luck.

dacash @ 4/12/2017 10:30 PM
so damn knicksy lol so damn knicksy

it will be. We got lucky one time with KP but we still missed out on Towns by doing the same thing
crzymdups @ 4/12/2017 10:32 PM
I blame Sasha for deciding to hit big 4th quarter threes for once. Ugh.

These guys are trying to save their own jobs..They aren't thinking about getting a pick better than them for the good of the team..

Dagger @ 4/12/2017 10:33 PM
Hornacek should be fired
nixluva @ 4/12/2017 10:36 PM
Well we have the same odds as Minny to move up to 1,2 or 3. The highest odds are that we stay at 7.
GustavBahler @ 4/12/2017 10:36 PM
I understand the frustration. Let's wait and see who we draft, and where. Ping pong balls can do funny things.

These days a huge % of the MSG crowd for Knicks games is tourists. You only need go to a couple of games to see that. Most genuine Knicks fans have long since chucked paying the exorbitant prices to watch the crap in offer. Many New Yorkers who do attend do it as some sort of Broadway night out with little care for what we look like next season or 3 seasons from now. Just another depressing aspect of what that c u next Tuesday Dolan has done to this historic franchise. We should have tanked about a month ago but instead have won retarded games against Chicago and Miami and against the teams competing against us for the high draft pick. I'm fucking done with the stupidity of the assholes running this franchise. They simply have no clue and we will continue to be a shameful embarrassment until they depart. And breathe........

WaltLongmire @ 4/12/2017 10:37 PM
Meanwhile, MDA plays everyone of his starting 5 at least 30 minutes (35 for Harden) in a totally meaningless game for them vs Minny.

Probably but the cancer runs far deeper than Hornacek within this franchise. I despise the owner and the way we are "led" (joke).

CrushAlot @ 4/12/2017 10:39 PM
Fun game except the outcome mattered. Very knicksy end to the season.

Payback?
SocraticBallin22 @ 4/12/2017 10:40 PM
What happens when we lose the coin flip and pick 7th and just miss out on a Fox, Smith or Monk who are picked right before us like Curry was? This is how potentially stupid this win could be.

Good point. I refuse to associate myself with Knick fans like that. And what was even worse is you had homer Breen complimenting them about this on the air

LOL...I'm over 60...I am quite aware of this...but they could have sat Melo and Lee tonight, for instance.

Philly sat their best player, Saric, and I didn't see McConnell playing much down the stretch, and he is their only PG.

Tanking comes from above (Coach or GM)...no players are going to do it on their own.

Read somewhere that he just wanted to end playing well and in sync...doubt if he gave the Knicks a second thought.

The Curry draft is to NY tanking like the Vietnam War is to the U.S. staying out of wars where the homeland is not threatened...We will go back to that Curry draft whenever we are in this type of situation.
