DALLAS (Dec. 28, 2001) - The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have requested waivers on guard Omar Cook.
Cook was signed as a free agent on Nov. 20 but had not appeared in a game for the Mavericks. He was drafted in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft by Denver.
I don't know whats going to happen to him. He didn't really get a chance in Dallas and i think he deserves a chance somewhere. I would pick him up in a heartbeat, but there's really nothing you can do when you already have Jackson, Ward, and Eisley.
