Very expected. We probably draft 8th, but hopefully move up.
Knixkik @ 4/18/2017 3:18 PM
The good news is in the grand scheme of things, we will still end up with a very good player. Someone who would be a top 5 pick in most drafts. This draft is very strong 1-9.
dacash @ 4/18/2017 3:18 PM
sooooo damn knicksy

yes martin...please talk to your basketball gods about that last game that we won...meaningless win...so we'll essentially pick 7th knowing our luck.

Draft hasn't begun yet, we might move up and beat the odds, we might get a better pick where we are then someone picking ahead of us. Anything can happen....

Nalod @ 4/18/2017 3:36 PM
WOlves will move to 3rd, we'll drop to 8th.
Then we have to read Nixluva dribble on about how its a good thing, Why Crzydumps obsesses Phils neglect that he not taking his medicine
and until he makes good with Melo.........

And Nalod will try to make a humorous post about the whole thing and try to pretend he's not as sad and pissed as me.

I don't like the lottery human hands touched it. I was wondering why the guy picked the Wolves first to drop in the bin.

It doesnt start until Silver gives an awkward handshake and a hug to the first pick.

Knicks deserve anything bad. It took difficult work to lose position 6 but give the Knicks credit -- they achieved it. I'm sure the value if beating philly and winning a bunch of meaningless games will Carry over to next year!
90sKnicks @ 4/18/2017 4:44 PM
Think of the ridiculous odds it took for us to fall to #7. Most likely we'll draft #8 or #9. The key in the draft is Dennis Smith and Lauri Markanenen going before us. If those things happen we'll be fine. Otherwise, we will suffer

We can draft 1-2-3 or 7-8-9-10 but the odds are with us at 7. I think the name that is going to rise is Jarrett Allen. Hes got potential to being the 2nd best player in this draft. I think when value comes around--when teams who need a big realize they can try to move back 1-2-3-4 spots--taking Allen will happen. He is not lasting until 10. Im think its possible Markanenenen Monk and maybe Smith(because of prior health history) fall a bit. Guys who are long gone will be Jackson Fultz Tatum Fox Ball. I think there is 0/100 chance they fall to 7. So take out those 5 names--maybe add an Allen---then we pick next(according to the math)

Agreed. I think our most likely pick will be either Ntilikina or Monk, but Ntilikina is more likely. Phil will value his versatility on both ends.

A little bit of good news which no one has yet mentioned is that we get pick #44 in the second round - benefiting from Chicago's tie breaker loss in the first round (loser of first round tie-breaker gets the better pick in the second) .

Honey, nobody is as sad as you!!! Pissed? I gave that up a long time ago. I refuse to get pissed at the knicks. Last time was 2000s, Marcus Camby's sister got held hostage by a boyfriend who broke into the house and cut her a bit. Nothing serious. Marcus missed pratice that day, then the next game with headaches. He sucked that series and Knicks got bounced by Toronto. Ok, some of it I could understand but this was doe eyed soft Camby era, not Play-until-38-and-never-get-hurt camby!
PJ Brown midget tossed Charlie Ward and we lose series, that pissed me off. Ewing finger roll, that pissed me off. Charles Smith, Yeah. Starks pissed me off. Reggie pissed me off. Trade Clyde to Cleveland, I was pissed for a year.

PIssed at Steph Curry going pick before us? Naw, we have traded him in Melo deal, then I'd be pissed.

Isiah got me a few times. but pretty much I don't get too bent out of shape.
Lets see how the ping pong balls fall next month.
Other thing Isiah taught me was it don't matter who it is, its what it is. You get mad at PHil, it don't matter if its phil, or walsh, or whomever, its that it is.
If its not phil, someone else will eventually piss you off.
