Knicks · The Lakers, Magic and Melo (page 1)

Magic is going to want to make a splash this off season. He's gone out ou'd his way to talk well about Melo in the past.

Melo for Clarkson, Randle and Brewer? Maybe the Knicks take back more salary in exchange for their late first round pick?

The Lakers have to get lucky and draft Ball. They also need to manuever money to open up space for Paul George (in 2018).... thet could also try and sway CP3 over and draft a small fwd.

Melo
Ingram
Cp3
Dangelo

I can go on....

For the Knicks, would Clarkson, Randle and Brewer be enough? Maybe Clarkson, Deng and their late first for Melo?

I'm throwing alot of shit to see if anything sticks

I think if Paul George goes to LAL, it does make it more likely that Melo would be interested. But George is under contract for another season which would mean that him going to LAL would require a trade. And if you trade assets for him, what would be left to get Melo? There is also the concern that neither player wants to play the 4 spot, which would make accomodating the two difficult. However, their games should mesh well IMO if they could overcome that obatacle.

As a side, I also don't see CP3 leaving the Clippers for the Lakers. That would be a worse situation for him and as a small PG, he does not have time for them to get the right pieces to make it work. I think it's more likely that if he leaves, he goes to the Spurs (a match-made-in-heaven) or the Cavs to play with LeBron. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see Melo, Paul and Wade end up in CLE for one last run with LeBron. Kyrie (and Blake Griffin) would be better with the Clippers, so I could see that sign-and-trade being feasible and reasonable for both sides.

I think the chance is pretty slim. Lakers probably would never make that trade.

The reason is that Lakers still respect a lot about Phil, and Phil probably still think he has to be honest all the time.

Lakers guys "Hey, what do you think about Melo? Is he a good soldier?"

Phil "He is rebellious. Doesn't want to listen to anyone. Uncoachable. "

Phil, actually you can lie, sometimes.

I like how all season Melo said his decision would be what's best for his family and they're the most important thing, and the whole time he was saying that he was having an affair with another woman.
