Knicks · Our Lottery Pick to the Jazz? (page 1)

Seems like they have a glut of redundant talent that they will need to jettison for luxury tax purposes. Would you guys be inclined to do something like the 7th pick for Rodney Hood, Dante Exum and Derrick Favors?

What is your reasoning?! Favors is injury prone, not great and you can just sign him outright as I doubt the Jazz match. Exum is a bust. Hood is very average

NO

They already have our lottery pick Gordan Hayward

We would have ruined him. Turned him into KVH and sent him home!!

Kvh was a decent player. I wish we could turn one of our guys into KVH

I disagree. I actually think Rodney Hood has all-star potential but is being marginalized as a spot shooter to accomodate Gordon Hayward and his star power. The other two components of the deal- Exum and Favors- and just throw-ins.

Favors is what he is and I don't see any teams outside of maybe the Bucks, Rockets and maybe Spurs having interest in him. Dante Exum though does intrigue me, since I was a big fan of his coming into the draft. He's been banged up since that point and time but if healthy, is he any worse than what Shaun Livingston is now?

NardDogNation @ 5/7/2017 5:24 PM
If not for our pick, are there any foreseeable trades that can be made for Dante Exum? I still would buy stock in him and his game's promise if I could.

Yeah, I was a fan of Van Horn as well. Had he been born a couple years later, he would've made himself quite a bit more money and earned quite a bit more recognition as a stretch 4.

Until he got to NY, I "hated" KVH the way some feel about Melo here. But once he got to NY, he was more aggressive, and made more of an effort on D.

Isiah came in and decided to put his own stamp on the team, and gutted the roster.

Could we do this instead?

NYK Trade: Kyle O'Quinn, Mindaugaus Kuzminskaus, $3 million, the 44th and 58th picks in the 2017 draft
NYK Recieve: Juan Hernangomez and Dante Exum

UTH Trade: Derrick Favors and Dante Exum
UTH Recieve: Kyle O'Quinn, +$16 million cap space, $3 million, the 44th and 58th picks in the 2017 draft

DEN Trade: Juan Hernangomez and $14 million of cap space
DEN Recieve: Derrick Favors and Mindaugas Kuzminskaus

Nalod @ 5/7/2017 6:47 PM
KVH avged 16 and 8! He has career earnings of $84,000,000!

Last played Ten years ago.

Even after he left the NBA, there would be one more trade. Because he had not officially retired, the Mavericks managed to package him in a 2008 trade with New Jersey, involving Harris and Jason Kidd. Via a sign-and-trade arrangement that balanced the contracts in the deal, Van Horn earned $4.3 million without playing.

Because he came from Utah, had the dorky hair, the high socks and he was not Larry Bird, the expectations were too high.

No way Denver gives up cap space and Juan for Derrick Favors and Kuz, that's an Isiah trade.

Yeah.......No.
