Isaac will be there.....The question is will Phil pick him? If Isaac isn't there, then Malik Monk or somebody good would slide down. It's a win...win

I'm not that high on Monk so it would not be a win win to me. I too question if Ohil would even pick Isaac which would hurt even worse if he was available and the Knicks passed on him for Frank or Monk.

Minimally he should make some all defensive teams. I don't think e will be there when the Knicks pick but he would be a great guy to get.
I love his combination of physical talent and skills. He's very active on the defensive end which this team desperately needs. Quickness and Agility at his size is elite. Just depends on how things shake out.
I think someone's stock will rise and hopefully a really good player drops to the Knicks. I really like Isaac. The Knicks front court would be set for the next 10 years if they were able to grab him.
I think Isaac is the guy whose stock will rise. I can see a gm making the same argument with Isaac/Jackson that Orlando made with Okafor/Howard. Isaac's upside might be too of a bullet point on the draft board to overlook. It sounds like scouts are starting to warm up to DSJ more, which is good and bad. I'm not a big Monk fan, but I'm guessing he is the most likely to fall. I still hold out hope for Tatum though.
if Isaac is there at 8 we need to pick him.
I would be happy if we picked monk, smith, frank,or isaac. I think either would be a good choice at 8
Jonathan Isaac is my wish list for this draft. I just want him to get a haircut but everything else is great.
I'd be pumped with Jonathan Isaac - he's an athlete and fits the Phil Jackson "my guys are bigger than yours" strategy. I'd be satisfied, though not as much as with Isaac, with with Donovan Mitchell for similar reasons (wingspan, athleticism)

The more I think about it the more he reminds me of how Beal played at Florida when he was a freshman on the team with two ball dominant players. Beal took the approach of just wanting to fit in and let the upperclassmen lead. Donavan eventually had to tell him he needs to step up and take over but for the most part he just tried to stay in his lane. Isaac like Beal joined a team full of ball dominant players and he just stayed in his lane doing what the team needed him to do. He also played out of position like Beal did at UF, Beal played the 3 while Isaac was used as a 4. Another similarity is that even though their season 3pt shooting was only average you could see that their mechanic were solid and could lead to becoming an elite 3 pt shooter. Finally, I think you will see Isaac ball handling improve and become more of a playmaker something Beal didn't really show on the college level but has improved overtime as a pro.
w/ both Isaac and KP, teams will be at our mercy. These two will deliver NYC an NBA title.
https://dunkingwithwolves.com/2017/05/17...Looks like Minn might pick Isaac.....if they are happy with Rubio. if they pass on Isaac, Phil needs to run to the podium and pick Isaac for the same reasons mentioned in this article. KD is showing you real time how the nba has changed. you don't need bulk or strength.....just skillz and length.
Dennis Smith super star potential might be hard to pass up....along with the other PGs. but to me this also shows you that athletic PGs are always available....but a 7ft guard who can defend 3 positions and score from anywhere, doesn't grow on trees. you snag that rare talent and find a PG later in the draft or free agency/ trade.

That definitely a option piece, I also could see them drafting a pg considering they seem to want to move Rubio... Isaac is going to have to bulk up to play PF. But the guy makes a good point, it wouldn't shock me if they take Isaac .

I hope they draft a PG....and Isaac will get stronger as he gets older...I'm not worried about his weight.
I have no evidence of this but I feel like if ESPN labels someone a steal they never turn out to be a steal.

Also guys that are considered a steal.....usually go higher than draft experts predict.... which means someone will fall into our laps.
