15 Justin Jackson or Frank Jackson
20 Frank Mason--he'll be there
26 Caleb Swanigan Cam Oliver or Jordan Bell
44 Josh Hart or Semi Ojeyele
58 Deonte Burton or Tyler Dorsey
I think this is more cumulative value than 8. Keep 8 if Fox Tatum J Jackson slide --and Id have to give it some real thought--Monk(but Id doubt it)
5 rookies would be a nightmare
There are better ways to get another 1st rounder this year than trading our 8th
It would be a lot lot smarter for example to identify some opportunities in advance and then make the trade if your guy slides into that spot. E.g. Justin Jackson at 15 (who I like btw bc of chemistry and other reasons) than to trade your pick and hope your guy is still there. Too risky
Briggs you need to be honest and admit this is a horrible idea and the only reason you like it is your love of the draft

I believe the nba has roster spots 16-17 next year. Im looking for best value for 8. I'd prefer this value IF the guys I want up top are not achievable
I'd rather just keep 8 and purchase a late 1st, early 2nd round pick. Still have 4 picks that way with much better value.

I agree. You never know..Isaac might fall to us at 8

Frank Mason at 20?? Yeah he'll be there at 20 alright but he'll also be there in the 2nd round so why use pick 20 on a guy that will be there in the 2nd round when you can get a very good player at 20 that could start right away??
If we had that many 3 1st round picks i'd trad one of them for future picks instead of putting so many rookies on the team right away like that.
keep 8. IF you are desperate to get any of those picks just use our cap space to take on Turner or Crabbe and I can guarentee we can get at least one if not two of those #1s

I keep studying these guys as much film as I can get. Mason is NOT the size I would want BUT keep watching him. His power body control shooting floor leadership all high caliber. Look at his 3's--mostly NBA range at 48% in volume. I think I laid out a foundation of smart two way players at every position. Im going to add another name at 58--Kennedy Meeks the C from North Carolina. Very similar to Willy but is that a bad thing?
I think we should keep 8, use that prospect (likely Monk or Dennis Smith or Ntilikina) to work with KP, Willy and Baker. See what happens with Melo, we may not trade him, we may trade him.
Too many draft picks on one team doesn't work out in most cases. You need a blend of veterans and young players. I liked what Phil did in 2015-16 for KP. We need to do the same for KP/Willy/8th pick this coming season.
I see our rotation as
Willy/O'Quinn/Noah
KP/Kuz
Melo/Thomas
Baker/CLee
8th pick/Veteran PG free agent/Randle
If Melo is traded, need to make a move for Jae Crowder and capspace, or Winslow and the #14. Something along those lines. Get a younger 3, capspace and/or a draft pick. If can't get that, keep Melo. He's going to play well in a contract year. KP needs to back up his diva antics with a monster season next year. Could have two all-stars on the team next year, and with the right teamwork we can do both. Be a competitive team, and also develop young players like KP, Willy, 8th pick Baker etc.
