Out of all the trade scenarios for Melo.. the Bulls seem to be the most plausible (PJ did business with them before)
#1 Jimmy Butler is their star player who is inked long term
#2 Dwayne Wade (Melo's buddy) is not opting out of his contract bc he's not getting that $ elsewhere.
#3 Melo came close to signing with the Bulls when he was a free agent. Chicago gives him another big market (Jordan brand) and he'll make more money with his trade kicker.
In return for Rondo (non-guarantee contract bought out) Valentine & #16 would seem like a no-brainer for the Bulls & Melo... hence why I'd like another asset.

This actually makes sense...at least to me. The only thing is that the only contract would be Melo for Rondo and RoLo. I love RoLo but I would need the 16th pick overall coming back to get this done. I doubt Chicago does it. OR Melo for Rondo, RoLo and Portis...I would also like that.

anyone know if we would still be able take back salary from Portland?
If the Knicks could walk away with three first rounders it would be a complete no brainer to move on from Melo
