Here's my take
We said we couldn't have a workout with smith-- sounds like were interested
Now were having workouts with Kennard and monk
Of course in the media we have to potentially wing it with frank n since he won't be here
My take we've got a promise with frank n. I think it might be the smart choice
I just saw a picture of Cuban and Nelson with Frank on twitter from yesterday. I think Frank goes at 9 if the Knicks don't take him.

Yea.. saw the Mavs rumor. I mean who else has his upside? I actually hope we do take him because I think it means we know what we need to know and considering his physical gifts I would be pretty excited about him as a prospect.

Why would an NBA team promise to draft a consensus first round pick if he isn't working out for anyone anyway? What does that do for either of them?
From the Cuban article about his interest in Ntilikina...
Former Knicks European scout Tim Shea told The Post the Knicks should be grateful Ntilikina won’t be in the U.S. for an array of workouts.“If he was coming now, the Knicks aren’t going to get him,’’ Shea said. “He’d have a good showing and might be a top-seven pick.
He was n NY last month...I expect that the Knicks had some kind of secret workout with him.
Just saying.
I am starting to worry that this is going to be like the Curry/Hill draft. Frank seems to be generating a lot of interest.

If the Knicks lose a player right in front of them--they can't cry about it

Absolutely. All of the scouting in the world can't make up for a stupid approach to the end of the season.
I think you have to watch Dallas and Minny.
Minny seems to want a big and we dont--so it would be easy to move around us in a deal.

If Dallas jump the Knicks and take Frank N. Then someone is going to fall to the Knicks. That is what we ahould be thinking.
Don't know why Phil had dinner with Dennis Smith jr. instead of holding a workout. It could be that he already knows that Smith is a great athlete, might want to gauge if Smith would be willing to alter his game to fit the Triangle in an informal setting.
As far as all the other workouts, etc, this draft looks harder to predict at the top (to me anyway) than most years. Its a deep draft, most teams have more than one need. Looks like the Knicks are trying to be ready for anything. Feels more like an NFL draft this year to be honest, lol.
Everyone knows the Knicks want guards
They should announce having workouts with big players

If Smith and Frank go in the top 7. That leaves Isaac and Monk.
Knicks dumped Jennings, shut Rose and KP down. They beat the Heat with Baker, Sasha, Lee, KP, Willy. Beat the Bulls with Baker, Lee, Melo, Ndour, Willy. Beat the 76ers with Baker, Ndour, Plumlee, Randle, Sasha, Holiday, Kuz all getting 20-26mins. Those aren't lineups that should be winning games.

This doesnt say too much...the Sixers were resting some guys too...end of the season games are hard to gauge...

Your reply doesn't really fit. Would make sense if I was saying that we had a ton of young talent. Which isn't what i'm saying. I'm saying we put out inferior talent. We should have lost the games vs Heat and Bulls based on the level of talent we were putting out there compared to what the Bulls and Heat had. Philly game we had *4 undrafted rookie FAs* lead the team in mins.

When they rested Melo you said they were trying to tank and they still won games. Remember? So if you thought they were talking then, why do you think they screwed it up? Personally I thought resting Melo was bad for tanking but I remember you trelling me the only reason they were doing it was to tank.

Phil uy's trying to gauge what kind of person guys are. Are they winners? Do they really love basketball? Are they going to buy into a team concept?
I think everyone knows what each player can do. They have scouts. It's time to get until their heads... talk to their mamas, see what kinda person they are. There's more to this than just grabbing an individual workout.

Yes...
Don't start crying before even anything happens. We're going to get someone good. If someone jumps, someone will fall
