Absorb Brandon knights contract a future restricted to 15 # 1 in 3 years and pick 8 for 4 if Jackson falls
Why does Pheonix do it?
They could draft Fox, Jackson or someone like that to pair with Booker.
They would get Monk, Lauri, Ntilikina, or someone like that at 8.
Doesn't make sense for them.
That trade would be grossly in the Knicks favor. Brandon Knight's contract is not that major an impediment for a rebuilding team to give up a more favorable pick in this draft and potentially lose another in one that is in the not-too-distant future. And to be frank, I don't even think they feel they need to give up assets to move him. Just this past trade deadline they were demanding a first round pick in return for moving Knight! I think they might be coming to grips with market realities- that they'll need to part with an asset to move Knight- and could see them putting the 32nd pick on the table. If that happened, I'd take the deal.
