Phil says they are taking calls, Wojo says they are making calls.

melo is on the block. Yes im sure the missed exit meeting was a issue but it doesnt mean KP is gone unless we get a massive return
VCoug @ 6/21/2017 9:25 PM
For some reason MSG Go isn't streaming the interview so I can't watch. Trying to follow along on a RealGM thread. Not liking it so far.

wojo has lost a lot of credibility lately so i take it with a grain of salt. I know you dont like phil but at least see what happens first

Jackson and a starter appears to be the reported asking price.

I don't want him to trade KP. I don't like most of what he has done with the Knicks. I do like that he drafted KP.

If we get Josh Jackson and anything else--people will forget about KP. I like KP but I like the Knicks more. To me KP is a big time health risk. I like him--hes a hard worker--but I just think the way the NBA is that we would have better long term success with J Jackson--thats JMHO.

I might even make Jackson a 4.

He might be the newest Knick. Phil seems willing to trade KP because he missed a meeting.
knicks1248 @ 6/21/2017 9:37 PM
After that 10 minute segment Im 100% convince phil is done. He took kp's blow off personal, very personal. He stated he never has seen that before with any player or team he has been associated with. I totally can relate to that, that was big

After Drafting KP, and signing melo, and neither is working out, HOW THE FCK can you trust his judgment. I won't state the dozens of other players he has been dead wrong about.

This 72 yr old dude is done, you cant relate to anyone under 45 at that age, let alone a 21 yr old...Dolan is such a dick

Lets get real. I wanted KP for our pick 2 years ago. I felt for a time before KP was even known that Frank K would be a very decent 4 pick. After I saw final workouts for KP and Myles Turner--I ranked both ahead of him--go take a look. My final ranking for Frank was 8 or 9. If Frank shot 44-45% from 3 hed be more of the player I thought hed be--he just hasnt shot the way I thought he would. Jackson on the other hand has a Lebron type game--more conducive to winning over the long term. a top athletic F who can pass shoot handle rebound finish

GustavBahler @ 6/21/2017 9:41 PM
Dont agree with some of what Phil said, but Im glad he took the time to clear the air. 24 hours ago some posters were suggesting that it was a ridiculous idea to do such a thing. Guess Phil didn't feel that way.

I can understand why he would be upset with KP for missing the meeting. At the same time, no exec I know would bring in a PG who then proceeds to ignore the future of the team, then gives that PG a pass when he goes AWOL.

Now Phil is talking about bringing him back after he has a better idea of Rose's 75th knee surgery, whatever it is. Sounds like more than just talk.

Tweeting, communicating, negatively about a future HOFer on his team like no other exec I can remember in 25 years. Especially after handing him a NTC.

If this season has seen some records broken in NBA mgmt/employee relations, its been set by both sides. Under the circumstances, I believe Phil should consider his own major role in the end result and try harder to mend fences. And KP should respond in kind.
