Knicks · I think KP's brother is the bigger problem (page 1)

StarksEwing1 @ 6/21/2017 10:31 PM
If you think about it there were no issues for 2 years since drafting him. Despite getting booed at the draft KP took it in stride and did and said the right things. Obviously he became a fan favorite when we saw his great skills and also his mature personality. Then all of a sudden the missed exit interview happens and its almost like the old KP was gone. His brother Janis was all of a sudden speaking for him and acting like KP was mistreated. Then KP starts doing other stupid shit. I gotta be honest for KPs own good as well as ours his brother needs to take a step back because everything was fine until he stuck his nose out

They are overplaying their hand....in their mind KP is a brand name...so he has clout....and can dictate....that is bs ....put his ass on notice with these trade rumors....if a homerun deal comes u take it.....I am not for it....but we cannot have a 2nd year player running *hit

This is like trump complaining about the "leaks being the real story"

THE KNICKS ARE HISTORICALLY INCOMPETENT. This is and will always be the real problem.

Can someone identify what the "problem" is again?

This is nonsense. With as bad as Phil Jackson has been in his short tenure here, you think Kristaps is the problem?

KP missed his exit meeting which fora 2nd year player is alarming. But the real problem is that he isnt responding to contact from management. He could have easily met with them to talk things out. I personally believe his brother is influencing him

Everything was fine before Janis? Were you absent the entire time Phil Jackson depreciated the value of the team's franchise player, picked a public feud with the league's biggest star- LeBron James(among others), made a series of expensive moves that paid no dividends to the team to date and has been a general shithead? It boggles my mind that people would dare blame anyone but Phil Jackson in this situation....or any situation involving the Knicks. He has been a complete disgrace.

i never defended phil or said he has done a good job as president. HOWEVER i try to be honest. KP is my favorite knick but im not gonna just excuse him for when he does immature crap. I dont think its all his fault like i said his brother has been an ass mostly
nixluva @ 6/21/2017 11:41 PM
This is a power play by KP and ASM Sports Pure and simple. They feign innocence and KP's love for NY to get sympathy from the fans and media but Janis met with Phil and still no apology or contact from KP!!! They won't say it but they WANT Phil to trade KP!!! That's the only logical conclusion to why this has dragged out so long. Why KP STILL hasn't tried to mend things!!!

I'm aware of all this.

How is any of it a problem?

So the appropriate reaction to a player skipping an exit meeting is to fan-the-flames that you are willing to trade him? Seems like a reasonable thing to do (end sarcasm).

Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Rich Paul and associates, Michele Roberts, Tyson Chandler, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert and now Kristaps Porzingis. Phil Jackson has had beef with a huge swath of the NBA and you're going to pretend that Kristaps is some how the bad egg in this equation?

he never said he would trade him just that teams have called and he is listening. Happens a lot in sports

Well this is also the same man that tried having Scottie Pippen and Kobe Bryant traded in their primes...so I'm uncomfortable of the direction these "talks" can go.

I'm a firm believer in 2 sides to the story. There's nothing logical about this knick era, so to come up with your own logical conclusion, sounds like you are trying to convince yourself and others that phil is the victim.

Phil isn't a victim!!! He's still President of the New York Knicks and contrary to what Melo and KP think he's calling the shots!!! KP's Team clearly want Phil to do what they want but Phil rightly is doing what is best for the KNICKS!!! Doesn't matter if it's CAA or ASM, Agents aren't running the Knicks.

Dude STOP! This is about KP and the choices he and his Agents made. KP isn't running the Knicks. He's an employee and if Phil decides he can be traded but only if it benefits the Knicks!!! This DIVA BS needs to stop.
