You're wrong about the whole thing. LeBron is not connected to CAA he is connected to Klutch mgmt, Rich Paul and I think only JR and Thompson are signed with them.
Also, speaking of CAA, Frank Ntilikina is with them and has the same agent as Melo.

I hope it isn't accurate but the speculation is that the Knicks would have to give up a first round pick to get him from the Raptors.

He seems like he has the win now attitude, or maybe that was because labron insisted the upgrade for love. either way, he doesn't seem like the rebuild through the draft type.
He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he would have some moveable pieces a little cap, and some picks he could juggle for some real players.
Griffin is being unfairly critized by some. He seemed to be on the verge of a rebuild with Kyrie and Wiggins. Hired Blatt so he had a vision in mind...then Lebron decides to come back so now the plans dramatically change to putting together a championship team...And putting together a team that can play LEBRON BALL aint easy. He did win a championship and deserves credit for that regardless...

As I said in another thread, another ex-Laker (Jerry West) recommending Griffin feels like a lot like Magic recommending Isiah. I trust West's judgement more than Isiah, but it still feels like deja vu.
Knicks have one thing that previous Knicks execs havent had in a long while, a possible franchise player going into his prime. Knicks are always trying to make a big trade for an impact player like KP, and mostly doing a bad job of it. Often resulting in cap hell and retreads.
Whoever gets the job, they will have a choice between gradually building around KP, or the express lane to cap hell. Knicks have their building block, they dont need to go for broke in trade or free agency.
Let KP show what he can do as the man and build around him. I believe Griffin, Ujiri, Presti, all have the ability to do that, its a question of wether or not they will go for the quick fix. Wether or not they will feel the pressure to do so.
Griffin came from the Suns. Was Director Of Player personnel from 01-07. And Senior Vice President of BBall Operations 08-10. So he was apart of the process that built the Suns teams with Nash. Though Colangelo, MDA, then Kerr held more authority.

Good point...totally forgot about that. Eventhough he may not have had much power in Pho, at least he was apart of a winning culture. Same in Cleveland; he was apart of a winning/championship culture. He was the GM that won a 'chip in Cleveland, and beat the team that had the best regular season in the history of the league....He has to get some credit for that.
I prefer Presti, but I wouldn't have much problem with Griffin....
