I think Melo has one more really good season in him
He's going to be very eager to show he has a lot left and that Phil's stupid triangle was holding him back. Anyone agree? I also think Noah will have a strong 2nd half.
With Phil gone and Melo entering a walk year I tend to agree. If we can get a decent point guard we can win a lot of games. Jrue, Hill, even Rondo or Collison could click.
I was thinking the same thing. He has been trying to be triangle compliant for a few years. The last time he wad stifled by a system he came back the following year and was 3rd in mvp voting. He wins it if D12 doesn't almost end his career.

did the stupid triangle hamper him playing defense?

We know Crowder said he was much easier to guard playing the triangle. We also know the Knicks smoked the Celtics during that brief window when Fisher was doing his own thing. Melo got hurt and everything ended shortly after that.
Pass. He may have a big year building the brand but please let it be in Houston, Cleveland, China
Only thing that is going to happen is young minds will be corrupted.

Melo was only going to leave NY on a buyout. That is off the table. Will be here for first half of the season and may look for a traede if the team is not performing. Only destination will be Cleveland or Boston and maybe Washington. Dont want to go out to the West with all the new set of super teams. Melo will have a big year if healthy. Im sure the Knicks that were unhappy with Phil/Triangle will work extra hard to prove that it/he was has for the Knicks.

DO YOU MEAN ON ANOTHER TEAM?? PLEASE SAY 'YES'!!!
IMO, if Melo has a really good season(his past season haven't been bad)with the Knicks. THE KNICKS WILL HAVE A LOSING SEASON, PERIOD!!
Melo is 33 and never played defense or passed the ball in his long career. It's time to stop hoping for a miracle. The bigger likelihood is that he continues to get worse.
There is a sucker born every minute.
Melo may score slot this year but he will not have a good season.
Maybe he'll get a painful rash on his hands so he can't hold the ball so long.

Yep just as I posted somewhere else. Instead of SSDD we got SDDS. Same Dumbass Different Sucker
He is 33 so those BIG YEARS are behind him now. If he does stay which isnt ideal bur if he does it would be nice for him to take a step back and let LOL willy and frank become the new core.
