Agree. Hard to compare. The point, I think is that Minny has done a much better job bringing in pieces around their young star. One thing that was a miss and will have short term impact and possible long term impact, if Frank turns out to be a bust, is to draft someone in who is not ready to start from day 1. Think Monk would have been a good SG and could have started right away. As I think Smith Jr. would be able to start as well. Will be dissapointed if Frank is not a starter.

Thing is I'm VERY HIGH on Dotson and I like some of the other UDFA's Phil brought in. I think this is the BEST UDFA class we've every had! Just cuz these guys are rather unknown doesn't mean that they aren't very good players that can be developed as solid role players for this team. Nitty and Dotson are Two Way Players! They have actual skills that fit a TEAM GAME. We have to be patient unless something good develops that the Knicks have to jump on.

Instead of taking five years to do a rebuild, Phil succeeded in three. The FA off-season was anticipated by most of us who had a clue. It was always about the draft and not free agency. If Ainge with a busload of assets can't sign his targets its hard to seriously criticize the Knicks for not signing a high-priced token.

The giveaway that this is still Phil's plan lies in the lack of panic to sign a new GM. Panic is Dolan's signature behavior. It is more and more obvious that Phil and Dolan got together and agreed that the heat on Jax was becoming untenable for both parties. The blueprint for going forward was already in place and so this next season will be a continuation of Jackson's blueprint - Stay the course.

The Knicks are loaded with next generation talent that needs exposure and time - they'll have it. Hornacek will be able to coach without the hyenas chasing him around implying playing system basketball is geometrically impossible these days.

The Knicks have discovered that paying Phil with a desk position can be no different if he stays home and calls it in. The media now is confined to a bullpen where if any of them farts it will remind them of what the Knicks think of their reporting skills.

No, you need broke down, over paid guys in their thirties for your rebuild. The Knicks should be all set for the next three years.

What do they matter if they don't see the court and he cap space isn't going anywhere else?

Phil tried to rebuild and be competitive at the same time. Signing Noah and Melo to long term deals blew up on him but he has collected some very useful youngins.

You would like to believe phils plan will stick, but i need to keep reminding you of a simple equation, Losses= Change. This roster has no one on it that other teams want, or willing to take a chance on. The dysfunction has sunk everyone's value.

We have, kp, willy and now frank, you consider at a boatload of next generation talent, that's more like a paddle boat. phil is 80-166, why would anyone want to follow in the foots steps of that track record.

KP,Willy,frank,baker,Dotson and a top 3 pick in next years draft. The only way this team gets top tier free agents is when they see KP turn into the beast that he is .
