They mentioned scenario where S&T is straight up Heyward for Crowder and said in that situation Jazz would get a +$23M trade exception.
Wondering how that might potentially be used in a 3-way where Love goes to Utah, Melo (other piece or 2) goes to Cavs and maybe the Knicks get back something like D-Mitchell and the big trade exception.
That kind of move is for real general managers and we're fresh out at the moment.

Utah just traded UP for DMitchell and they love him.

would they move him if it landed them Kevin Love? Next to Gobert? I think they would....

Wonder if Houston has anything they'd want. Anderson's contract seems to be a sticking point for any movement there, but he fills a similar skill set as Love for a few less dinero

I guess my question on a # of fronts -- is can the trade exception be used in this scenario to make this trade work --- basically giving the Knicks a young piece or 2 and allowing us NOT to take back any salary. Not sure how all the #s would work but at a high level Melo deal is +$25M, Love is +$25M and Utah (exception/players would be $25M range).
If I'm Utah I have turned losing Heyward into Crowder/Love (though I may lose a young piece) but Utah would be left with pretty damn deep team.
Gobert
Love/Favors
Engles/J-Johnson
Hood/Burks
Rubio/Exum
Atlanta is another team that could possibly fit as a 3rd team in a Melo/Cleveland scenario.
They have lost both Howard/Milsap --- could potentially have some interest in Love --- same for Charlotte.
charlotte has its quota for PF white guys!!! Zeller and kaminski.
The Jazz with Love is interesting. Favors could be on his way out.
I'd take nothing but cap relief for Melo. Better than a buy out.
Love next to Gorbet is pretty darn good!
