I'll take back anything to get rid of him. Anything.

Houston's main asset is Anderson. Portland seems interested. Portland has guys like Harkless that we seem to like. Maybe Crabbe too? Harkless plus Crabbe's salaries are almost equal to Melo's.
No, they aren't.
Crabbe is owed more than Melo alone.
Harkless is owed another $30m on top of that.

This is the real world?
Twitter pics of luggage tags, grainy bigfoot photos, and interpretive geography?

Morey is a mover and a shaker gets things done.

If Houston can give Boston some non-guaranteed contracts for a useful asset and package something to Portland there's a deal to be had.

He does not possess the power to alter math.

Portland is in cap hell.
Boston has to shed cap.
Only thing Portland has to offer is alternative cap stinkers to Ryan. Harkless, Turner, Leonard and Crabbe are all signed for 3 more years.
They only offer to extend the pain.

He moved Lin and Asik before the poison pill cap hit. He did a lot of manipulating to get the Paul trade to work. Keep an eye on him. He might surprise you.

This is my lasting memory of Leonard and it's not good. His stats look like he's fallen in love with the three, but is not exceptional at making them.

I'll be surprised if he moves Gordon. There is a path through Gordon.
Not through Ryan. Least one that isn't a lateral move at best.

I was thinking that Houston's non-guaranteed free up Boston cap space for someone like Smart or Bradley to be packaged to NY (along with say, Harkless and filler).

Hahn tweeted to follow the money. I think there is something to that.

agree with you abouut ryan anderson. nice big off the bench, or starter as "the other guy" on a super-team, but he's not worth the money he was signed to and theres still what, 3 or 4 years left on that deal? that's a really bad contract. i like harkless and i can even get behind myers leonard, but man i wish we could find someone else's contract instead of taking ryan's.

Why not just melo for ariza and Gordon?

Most of the players ppl throw around this board for Melo is shocking. Ppl honestly thought Crawford, A. rivers was a great deal. Im sorry I would be very disappointed getting back role players for someone of Melos caliber.
Lets try to compete this year.
We did this before--Patrick Ewing and 20 years later we still are cursed. Of course Portland wants to get rid of their sht????? When an NBA team wants to get rid of their sht--they call up the Knicks.
We dumped Clyde for sheehit when he should have finished his career here too.
We traded Spree for a pair of ortho socks and net nothing. (KVH ended up being Tim Thomas who we dumped and got back for nothing; please don't say anything about Nazr Mohammed, other than that the Melohaters got Mardy Collins for him)

Agree. Why is melo in Houston any crazier than cp3? Harden had a career year playing point and you bring in cp3. Morey has his reasons...

Too bad houston wont....Why would Houston give up 2 core pieces (essentially 2 starters as Gordon played starter mins) for a player that everyone knows has to be moved?
NYKBocker@ 7/7/2017 9:41 AM
Houston must give more than just anderson for this to work. Cause if he gets melo for just anderson then he is gangster

I agree in that I can't see Houston doing it but if they were willing I'd do so instantly
