Bledsoe and Harkless would be enough for me. Knicks might make the playoffs
My sentiments exactly
Why would the Suns trade Bledsoe?
They don't have a point guard of quality if they do so.
If they trade a ballhandling guard, it's Brandon Knight.

who the hell is this guy tweeting that we never paid attn to before?
Might be an upstart. Who knows though? If he's right about all of this, either he'll land a great gig or people will just stop talking to him all together.
He hardly looks 22 though.

If we get assets for Melo then it was never a blunder for anyone but Phil(Since Melo got him fired). The whole reason he did not want Melo to leave was because we would not get anything back for him. This would mean that even though Melo had a no trade clause we still got assets back for him. That would turn re-signing Melo into a positive.
The problem I see with this trade is a few major hurdles
1)NYK is on a mission not to get fleeced in any deal
2)melo doesn't want the rockets to gut the team of it's depth
3)No one wants Ryan Andersons contract
4)the knicks are not in any need of PF/C or the will be stuck with a very unbalance roster
5)The 3rd or 4th team, has to take Anderson and have legit sg/pg to give up
Good luck..when you have a guy like Mills, who's yet to ever make a solid trade

Setting yourself up for bring a joke of the board after Melo is gone?
Good job dude.

They'd have to be really good assets though. You can get a lot with $124 mil in cap room too, you know? The Nets just got 2 picks (probably around 20 and 40) for absorbing $30 mil in salaries. I can't imagine that we'll be getting enough assets to have justified giving out the contract.

What on earth will you do if you trade Melo and end up with a better record next season?!

He doesn't make any sense. If the sticking point if finding a destination or room for Anderson, trying to find a home of Asik just gums is up more.
Why would NY, Houston or Portland take him?
That's the only reason I could see the Pelican (supposedly) wanting in on this deal. I guess they could be trying to get rid of Solomon Hill. I can't see the Pels getting much, just wanting to unload some players. That's IF the reports are accurate.
Maybe they want Ryno back.

It sounds as if we do get Bledsoe it would be a separate deal but they have a lot of youn g talent so i could see them jumping in on this deal. I heard one guy say they were trying to add B.Knight in any deal but nobody wanted to take on Knight and his contract and Knicks would rather Bledsoe of course.

They drafted Tyler Ulis and might think he's ready to take the full time PG spot.

Lets get this clear for the umpteenth time, I do not care for melo all that much, I do not care weather he is here or in china, All I want is a winning team..period.
Im just not into making moves for the sake of getting better 4 yrs from now, because that never ever works. If im making a trades, its to get better now and in the future. We have a very consistent history of making very bad trades.
if im wrong, please give me a trade that we won in the last 2 decades
The same people that want melo gone, are almost the same people that wanted AMARE and JR gone, they thought they were the problem. So please explain why we got worse after there departure

Trust me, I'm just as critical as you are of Isiah, Phil, and Layden.

I didn't know Amare and JR Smith Knick apologists exist. You learn something new every day.

Traded a 2012 2nd round draft pick to the Phoenix Suns for Amar'e Stoudemire. Phoenix also received a trade exception from New York. Phoenix did not receive the 2nd round draft pick because it was top 55 protected.
February 24, 2005
Traded Jamison Brewer and Nazr Mohammed to the San Antonio Spurs for Malik Rose, a 2005 1st round draft pick (David Lee was later selected) and a 2006 1st round draft pick (Mardy Collins was later selected).

Who's replacing the player matters, you know. No one who wanted Amare or JR or Carmelo gone said that "Under all possible scenarios, the team will automatically be better without these players."
