How generous of him. I'm not trading him to the rockets if we're taking back big salary on a longer deal than his (so thats no to Anderson or Meyers), we have zero incentive to accept a crap deal.

I think it's time just to completely axe this trade. I don't think it's fair to fans. They've worked through it and it's not close. Melo doesn't want more than 2 teams than we should integrate a role for him as sixth man. I think it's in the Knicks best interests to start 5 Gus not named Mdlo -- but retain his value ( and possible trades scenarios at the deadline) by giving him a 25 minute role as sixth man . If it was good enuff for Kevin Mchale and many ginobli-- it's good enough for melo. But this conversation has to end-- too much -- who really cares

I too would axe the rockets deal, and instead turn back to the cavs

Clutchfans post claiming that Morey approached Brooklyn for help on the 3rd team and use their cap space. Things are getting interesting again.

The guys on that site are pretty accurate with scoops. There is at least one or two insiders there that break trades before they happen. It is worth your time to check it out.

Netsdaily confirms the Nets were approached to take Anderson's deal.

And we hear that, yes, the Nets were approached.

No, they don't.

Now, the Nets haven’t been specifically mentioned in those reports, but they are the team with the most cap space. And we hear that, yes, the Nets were approached.

Heard from who is important here.

What part of the Nets were approached are you not seeing.

The part where they offer any reason to think what they "heard" is credible.

It is an afterthought in the article.

4 teams is complicated. Is Portland still in this? Who and what do we get back?
TLover @ 7/23/2017 11:00 AM
If I were have to guess the 4 teams would be the Knicks, Rockets, Cavs, & Suns.

Main players each team would get:

Knicks: Kyrie
Cavs: Bledsoe
Rockets: Melo
Suns: Love

The Knicks would likely have to toss in either Frank Ntilikina, draft picks or both.

dwiley20 @ 7/23/2017 11:22 AM
Why would only Knicks have to give draft picks?
NYKBocker @ 7/23/2017 11:51 AM
They trade kyrie and love for bledsoe?

Cavs give up Love and Kyrie and best they get is Bledsoe? No way, IMO.

If Cavs deal Love and Irving, they will want back (and get it) - Melo, Bledsoe and more.

I can see this as a deal that could happen.

Cavs - Melo, Bledsoe, Chandler
Suns - Love, O'Quinn
Knicks - Irving

Cavs

Thompson/Chandler
Melo/Frye
Lebron/Melo
Smith/Korver
Bledsoe/Rose

Simmons was having a conversation with trade rumors about the Knicks. He mentioned Phenix and the Knicks getting piks. When I tried to view the conversation the tweets had been deleted. Interesting that Phoenix is coming up again. It wasn't clear if the trade involved Kyrie. There was ths:
