Cav's are rebuilding and my take is they want to force Lebron to either mentor a younger team rebuilding (as if....) or get a trade.
Cav's really despite Lebron's "Frustration about not improving" could not do much. Desire for new GM I think was that owner wanted someone without any loyalty to Lebron and would not be sympathetic to him or the present group of Cav's. Kylie wants out.
Gilbert or Lebron owe nothing to each other or the fans. The got three finals trips and a ring. That's a good run by most definition and Cav's have to consider a future. Lebron owes the fans nothing.
I don't know if they are rebuilding. News came out today that they were in play for Paul George. It also is rumored LeBron was the leak for the Kyrie trade. Would he have done it to try to get other guys to the Cavs?

Lebron rumors is that he will stay no matter what and fulfil his contract. Is this where Lebron takes a year and rests?
Does he have another play in mind? Getting traded means you lose assets to build on. This his "Laker play", let them gel for one year then join them? Would he let Ball control the ball?
Lebron can' go anywhere with that contract.
