They just put out an article on what teams had the worst offseason. They gave the first spot to the Knicks. You are right, it is hate. I think the Knicks have had a very good offseason. A reasonable Melo trade and it will be an excellent offseason.

Outside looking in, we had one of the worst off season I could remember.

1)Our best young player skipped the exit meeting to start things off
2)fired our President and failed to replace him with some one better
3)Killed the value of our best player in melo
4)promoted a front office guy who was responsible for the losing culture
5)drafted a injured player (but has potential we hope)
6)signed 3 below avg(at their positions) players to ridiculous contract, THJ, Baker, sessions
7)Let holiday(our best wing player) walk without even a phone call
8)And still have not traded melo, and from the looks of it, that wont be happening

perry signing was the only decent thing that's happen this summer

D-

1. Exit meeting, we talking exit meeting. Has things been healed?
2. Yes, mills is a better president Phil because Perry is a better GM than Mills.
3. Killed the value of Melo? how? By announcing he is to be traded and has a NTC? His value was dead three years ago.
4. This statement is the same as number 2. Mills was not responsible for losing culture. It was here before Mills and PHil were hired. Dolan owns the team.
5. Frank has a bruised Knee and he just finished playing in the finals of the french league. Your being a drama queen on this one!!!!
6. Its all relative to what they do this season. Sessions not over paid. He is the right guy for the job. We developed Baker. THJ is about his potential and his play the last 30 games of last season.
7. Holiday was our best wing?
8. More redundant Knicks1248 drama queen moping.

+1 on all points.
1248 is even calling Sessions' vet min contract ridiculous? Wow.

Yup. I don't even take him seriously anymore

When Melo leaves, the same posters who believe he is the worst thing that ever happened to this franchise will probably find another player to obsess over. Doubt it ends here.

It depends on what we get back in the trade. No one is saying the situation will automatically be better once he leaves.

Dont believe anyone is that big a Melo fan on this board. Was a bigger fan of Sprewell, who also was controversial.

Really? You can't think even think of one poster who does nothing but praise Melo in every post? Or others who aren't as extreme but always jump to Melo's defense and have never in 7 years said anything critical about him?

Doubt you will find one poster who believes that Melo is the best thing that ever happened to this franchise. Bet you will find more here who believe the opposite.

Or if Melo plays well they will kill the Knicks for trading him or for not getting him to play that way here.

Or when MElo is averaging 24/7 Briggs will start daily threads "this could have been our 6th man"

1. Think the exit meeting was a misstep by the KP camp. However, it may have led to what they wanted. Phil ousted.
2. Agree that Perry is better. Think his work ethic alone helps trump Phil. And NO Triangle Complex.
3. NTC kills any players value. However, the relationship management has had with Melo has hurt it further. As Melo is more reluctant to be flexible. And Mills was and is part of the management that has led to the current status.
4. Mills IS/WAS responsible
5. Frank was not drafted injured. But the move to fire Phil should have been made before the draft. So as to have future GM have his pick and not a "Triangle" pick.
6. Agree on THJ. Baker and Sessions are non issues and decent moves.
7. Agree letting Holiday was a mistake.
8. Melo will be traded. Knicks just holding out for better value.

?? From article you posted:

"Realistic Value, Realistic Return: Oklahoma City Thunder trade Alex Abrines, Doug McDermott, Enes Kanter and two future second-round picks to the New York Knicks for Carmelo Anthony"

What's not pretty? If Knicks sit tight, they will get a decent return from Houston as well.

If we get dougie buckets and two second round picks, I would do the trade assuming we can trade kanto r to another team for another draft pick.

You honestly believe there aren't posters here who consider Melo the worst thing that has ever happened to this franchise? You cant be that dense.
