This wasn't a good game by KP 4 rebounds. This is what gets me with KP you can't be 7'3 and walk out of a game with a guard's total for rebounds. He really does has moments of soft play.

KP second half looked tired, gassed, passive and lot of bad shots
teamsport72@ 9/1/2017 2:27 PM
Whaaat? He only took 3 or 4 shots in the 2nd half (making 2/2 from downtown), because his teammates played Drose style...passive on D because had 4 fouls from early going in the second... pesdec!!!
Wow Spain has a better frontline than any NBA team.

KP physical capacity to play 38 minutes 82 times will never be there. Only 1 guy his size did it--Kareem.
If I was Knicks--stagger playing Willy and KP. Keep KP at Tim Duncan type minutes--26-28 and let him have off 5-7 games. Its not a sprint and its not about whether KP is all star. Its about winning and keeping a player like KP healthy.

Kristaps Porzingis’ debut for Latvia’s national team ended in defeat.
In its opening match Friday of the European Championships, Porzingis scored 18 points, notched four blocks but Serbia toppled Latvia, 92-82. Former Nets player Bogdan Bogdanovic rose up with 30 points to pace Serbia in Istanbul.
Porzingis missed some exhibition games with a bruised knee and wasn’t much of a force on the boards. He also got into foul trouble in the second half, picking up a fourth early in the third period.
Porzingis shot 7 of 16 from the field, including 3 of 6 from the 3-point stripe. He recorded four rebounds but none on the offensive glass, and had three turnovers in 28 minutes. Center Boban Marjanovic scored 13 points in 16 minutes as Serbia used its superiority in the paint to notch a 24-8 edge in second-chance points.
Porzingis scored on the game’s opening possession on a jumper but missed his next four shots.
“At times there were flashes of the great Porzingis we have seen in the NBA season with highlight blocked shots, dunks and huge 3-pointers” Latvian journalist Andrejs Silins of Sportacentrs.com told The Post. “Unfortunately, he got into foul trouble and didn’t play much in the third quarter. He played only at center, had some trouble with Marjanovic — not huge but still.”
Porzingis did not talk to the media after the loss.
wtf,is with this foul trouble all the dam time..jesus, this is a serious problem after leading the NBa in fouls

Also, Serbian team did play very smart tactic game, all first half they did play through KP to get him tired and in foul trouble

If KP is gassed now, its good he's getting in the extra competition over the summer. Older players you have to worry about stamina, but it sounds like Porzingis needs more cardio, or needs more work on his core. Bulking up can help, but only do so much. As long as they dont give him too many minutes, thats where injuries are more likely to happen.

The guy is 7-3. He's going to get gassed whether he's in tip top shape or not. He can be an integral part but the Knicks would be very negligent playing him anything much more than 30 minutes. 1 game here or there big minutes-- ok. Average 26-30 we want him healthy

Thats true, still believe there is room for improvement. If the situation doesn't improve, I hope KP and his brother look to sports science for an answer. Go to somewhere like the IMG Academy, and maybe find some new training techniques geared more towards endurance. If nothing medical pops up.

Yep its why we should of traded him but still there are the delusional that believe he is going to be a top 5 NBA player, it will never happen. Guys his height aren't 38 minute players. The best thing for us is he ends up like Sabonois give us 25-30 minutes of very productive basketball. That means grabbing more boards than guards

They just need 3-4 more productive minutes per game, and he will be right were most bigs are. Dont believe thats an impossible goal for a 22 year old in good health.

Have you watched Golden State play?
no idea?
KP stretches the floor and allows the coach to play 5 shooters or scorers. But you need an Iggy type...Crowder type....SF / PF....to make it work.
KP and Willy is too soft together, on Defense. But KP and 4 strong...long....athletic....shorters that can play big.
KP Melo Nitty Hardaway Jr
Thats 4 players that would be a matchup nightmare for anybody one on one.
We just need a junk yard dog type of SF, who can score, defend and get rebounds.
Make a trade with the Cav for Crowder would be a move I would look at....I don't trust Melo, KP and Willy as my rim defenders!!!!!!
They need help! NOAH is a great compliment on defense. But on offense, it's 4 on 5
From what I see KP still can't finish inside. He doesn't have any clue what to do if it's not a jumper or dunk. To me if he ever figures that out he will be unguardable. He needs to find a big man coach. Funny someone mentioned Kareem... KP could be Kareem if he could finish inside with purpose
