in a league where 3 and d guys are at a premium, how does no one sign this guy?
MDA system turns decent shooters in to sharp shooters and turns avg PG's into all stars
tell that to Melo
That's what I'm saying. I mean he went on to win so many chips with the Lakers and Rockets. Plus I'm sure James Harden and the best 3pt. shooting support in the league have nothing to do with their success. And of course once Danfoni left Woodson and Melo just took a shit. Have you watched Houston lately? Houston offense is more Iso than NY ever was. Harden and CP3 take turns holding the ball most of possession. Can you tell me who has the highest usage rate in the NBA? Take a guess. Im sure its something NY fans would get behind.
Here is a couple of clips just for you Mike... I know you miss it.
Btw. Both in just 3 quarters.

Thats bullshit. Coaches need a whole team to play at high level to look good. Where were the All Star PGs in LA? Sharp shooters? Harden makes his system look great. Cp3, an All Star, makes the PG position All Star level.

I think I said at the time that deal was over rated- I didn't get why the media assumed the Nets pick would be top 3, and I had big concerns about IT's ability to recover from his injury. Essentially they were trading Irvin for a pick in the 5-9 range, I'm sure they could have gotten a better deal than that- heck I think we could have offered better.

YOu had concerns? IT2 really didn't pass a physical and the deal was in jeopardy. I think CLE got cold feet. But as we are reading Kyrie was threatening to delay minor knee surgery until the season started and hold out as long as he could. Gilbert did Moronic GM firing and while Lebron was saying he would fix it with Kyrie he would not commit to staying. I get why Gilbert traded Kyrie. As for the deal, well Cav's are a mess and Boston is a happy place. The deal on paper was reasonable and Ainge had to be amazed he could get the deal he got. Sure IT2 was hurt but he sure as hell didn't pay much for him and seemingly didn't want to "back the truck up" to pay him. Im not sure its the nets are not as bad as some expected but just how bad the Magic, Kings, suns, Lakers, and Mavs are. ATL dumped and it was expected. Nets are only 4 games over true suck-a-tude. Lots of time to still tank it.
Bottom line is we have KP and while he is not perfect he is our beacon of HOPE!
Gilbert should ask Lebron if he wants to be traded. Lebron wants chips. Gilbert won't get great value but I think something is better than nothing. If Lebron wants to leave and Gilbert is thinking they had a great run and times up. Lebron won't commit why should Gilbert? JUst business. Think of the fun that would be!
Devastating injury for any BB player, especially a guy his size. Have never been a fan of his, but feel bad, especially since his team is in the hunt for a playoff slot.

Horrific timing for him- just as they were finally on course to make the playoffs AND he was coming up for a big pay day in free agency. Recovery for this kind of injury is pretty bad- players tend to be shadows of their former selves.

How long until the "we should trade Kanter for Cousins" posts start (then resign Cousins to max contract only to have him never return to pre-injury form- its the Knicks way! He ticks every box for a typical Knicks move- questions around character, lack of defense, chucker, significant injury)
Have been watching Pelicans basketball since they acquired boogie cousins and they have been playing some GREAT Basketball this season. Even mentioned to a buddy of mine this past weekend that I thought Cousins should be the leading candidate for MVP this Season. Thats the kind of season he is having.
Tough break

I was thinking more of the Pelicans as a trade partner for one of our bigs now.

Too bad for Cousins, out for the year with Achilles injury. Any scenarios for a trade?

I wonder how amendable would they be to taking back Kanter and Courtney Lee for dead money and their unprotected first round pick. I know that Dell Demps is a lame duck GM and might be desperate enough to save his job that he might do something wild like that.

Tore both Achilles and I'm still probably a top 5 player on this board at 44.
Cousins will be fine. His game doesn't depend on explosive moves like Rose or Westbrook.
