Knicks · The Official Frank Ntilikina Versus DSJr Thread (page 1)

Who played better tonight? Frank or DSJr? Who will be better for their career? Who is a better point guard and who plays better defense? Let's put it all in this thread for convenience as well as to rid all the other threads of countless comparisons.

My opinion is that DSJr will have a better year this year (although he doesn't play much defense) but Frank will win a championship first and will make his team better on most nights.

Well not good news for Frankie.

Please tell me that's photo-shopped.

Hope the kid is OK and heals quickly. That’s a tough situation for him but remember it’s still early and he’s got all the time in the world to get going.

I wish i could. I'm hoping someone can tell me i got fooled and it's not real.

SupremeCommander @ 10/20/2017 4:13 PM
oh good God... I had my concerns about him holding up considering he played about half the minutes of the other PGs drafted in the first round but this is ridiculous
BigRedDog @ 10/20/2017 4:18 PM
Whats this kid made out of? Toothpicks, balsa wood and Elmers glue?
Out for a few days? He will be out for 2-3 weeks.
smackeddog @ 10/20/2017 4:22 PM
He's keeping us in suspense- I just wish he'd stay healthy.
reub @ 10/20/2017 4:22 PM
DSJr has an extra knee ligament too...a little know fact.
GustavBahler @ 10/20/2017 4:24 PM
Man this sucks. I feel bad for Frank, feel bad as a fan. It would be foolish IMO for Perry and Mills not to be looking at a plan B. Acquiring 1st round picks (unprotected if possible) for next summer and look at drafting a top PG prospect.

Banking on Frank is too risky IMO. Thats not to say we should move him. Only that his learning curve keeps getting pushed farther into the future. Better for the Knicks to hedge their bets in the meantime.

blkexec @ 10/20/2017 4:27 PM
In the long run....DSJ is still more injury prone. Frank just needs to develop physically

I've been saying this all offseason, and have caught flak from a couple of posters who I think are just into the kid...

Bottom line is he hasn't played any extensive minutes and what we get it a complete crap shoot. He very well could be made out of toothpicks, balsa wood, and elmer's glue (lmao, funny BigRed) or he could be the next Giannis... no way to know for sure and anyone who claims they know is deluded. Maybe FrenchKnicks knows, but that's the only person here that I think has a qualified opinion on him

nixluva @ 10/20/2017 4:37 PM
This narrative is so typical of NY . ANYONE can at ANYTIME step on a foot and turn an ankle. Especially if you’re busting it and moving on D etc.

fishmike @ 10/20/2017 4:58 PM
sucks he's gotten hurt again. Banged knee, landing on a guy's foot... those are bad luck things, not "injury prone."

It really too bad because the team needs exactly what Frank can do right now, make some good passes and take care of the ball

anrst @ 10/20/2017 5:00 PM
i need to just go to sleep and take a look at the knicks and frank around xmas.

We just have to see how bad it is. It might not be as bad as it first looked.

Yeah. He and Adrian Peterson. Smith jr is being raved about in Dallas. He also was top 3 in his class in one of the most hyped point guard classes of all time prior to his injury. Hopefully Frank can get on the court and play for a few minutes sometime soon.

Yeah, I don't think that Sessions is the answer. We can play Baker 20 minures, Frank 20 minutes and Sessions 8 minutes. I really don't care who starts for now until Frank is ready.

Uptown @ 10/20/2017 6:56 PM
This is starting to turn into a pattern...I'm trying to move on from DSJ, but Frank aint making it easy...

Who told Willy to have such big feet? They're sayingthat Frank is feeling better already although I doubt that he'll play tomorrow. He has amazing healing powers obviously.
