Yeah we all know that, but his injuries are coming back to back to back, like every time he steps on the court so far. And we're talking about....PRACTICE, not a game, PRACTICE, cmon now, the look on MILLS face says a 1000 words

Two injuries that are common in the NBA. Taking an Elbow to the chops is common but that doesn’t make a player injury prone. Kanter Kneed the kid in one game and he stepped on a foot and twisted his ankle. This is really Stretching to try to make something out of this.

Until we know how Ntilikina responds to this there’s no point killing him over it. Might be a mild tweak that felt worse than it was.

nykshaknbake @ 10/20/2017 9:29 PM
It's hard to say he's not going to be injury prone at this point. There's nothing we can do about it. He's our pick, not DSJ. We can only hope that this is just a blip on the radar and if it is he can actually play at an NBA level eventually. I think that fair expectations is that he can beat out Sessions and Baker for the starting role. Any less than that is a failure. It's really not that high a bar.

The photos in the other thread with him lying on the floor and being helped to the locker room by his teammates paint a different picture. Hopefully Bondy's tweet is accurate and not a spin to quiet the noise building up with Frank not being able to get onto the court.

lol, why would the Knicks "spin" a twisted ankle?

Nothing to see hear.

If he broke an ankle he broke an ankle. NBA lost two players for the season in 2 nights. I seriously doubt the Knicks are trying to cater to fans who don't understand what an injury is.

I am not implying that he broke his ankle. It looked like a really bad sprain from the pictures posted. Are you suggesting the Knicks are always forthcoming about player injuries?

Here's what I'm saying, there are 3 options here for anyone making "noise" about Ntilikina:

1. You think being physically ready for the NBA means knowing how to avoid stepping on someone's foot.
2. You think being physically ready for the NBA means landing on someone's foot and your ankle not rolling.
3. None of that matters and you just want to be pissed off about it anyway.

I think the Knicks have had a bad relationship with the media for years for reasons I assume you're well aware, but no I don't think they're worried about stupid noise by stupid fans and/or the media figures that pander to stupid fans.

I don't think any Knick fan wants to be pissed about Frank. I think anyone that roots for the team wants this kid to be good. There are no resets for the draft. I also think that the concern is that this kid just can't stay on the court not thst he rolled an ankle. Hopefully it is just bad luck. I don't think any of your three reasons are close to accurate. Seems like you are just dismissing a lot of time not being able to play due to injury as a normal thing only brilliant followers of basketball are able to do.

I'm looking at no less than two people in this thread alone who can't seem to distinguish between contact and no contact injuries - that can't seem to separate a similar effect from two different, unrelated causes.

I'm not suggesting brilliant followers of basketball should be able to distinguish the difference, I'm saying anyone with a pulse should.

The Knicks know what this year is. I think it's pretty obvious they were extra cautious with him in summer league and training camp, a short training camp by the way. So who is creating the noise you cited and what's it about? That he's injury prone (which is baseless and panicky) or that he has bad luck?

Not going to happen. The instant gratification idiots are out and about.

Might be taking a break from this place.

I put almost no expectation on him--not fair. He needs development in every area--well see quickly if hes ready for nBA action. I think thats why they have the D league

This whole year is about developing anyway so i'm not sure where you get this crazy talk from. I'm pretty sure the plan was never to throw him in there to start and play 35 minutes a game. Some players are just more easily injured then others but i'm pretty sure that every player that gets these minor injuries a lot doesn't mean their body isn't ready for the NBA.

I'm pretty sure i've never seen an optimistic post from you and your posts are always negative. You feed off of anything negative with the Knicks and i wouldn't even doubt if you're Frank AssHola.

yup he is always negative. He hates rebuilding, building through the draft, our coaching staff etc.. the only positive stuff ive seen from him deals with melo or trading picks for veteran players
