Knicks · When do we start asking if KP is best Knick evuh? (page 1)

Chandler @ 11/11/2017 10:05 PM
I’m prone to over reaction so I’ll stick my chin out

He will be the best ever wo a close second

And that include Willy (sorry Briggs couldn’t resist)

Cartman718 @ 11/11/2017 10:18 PM
After a championship
Welpee @ 11/11/2017 10:24 PM
When he's been doing this for 8 to 10 years.
Panos @ 11/11/2017 10:26 PM
Let's wait till he signs his next contract.

Long way to go yet
TheGame @ 11/11/2017 10:37 PM
Lol. In about 5-6 years we can start asking that question. He has a long way to go before he beats Ewing, king, Frazier.
Chandler @ 11/11/2017 10:44 PM
You guys are a bunch of pussies. He catches alley oops 12’ in the air
Hits 3s at a good clip and is AutomTic from midrange

ChNges the game on D end.

Is there a serious debate here. Ewing really?

Yeah and for 18 games Jeremy lin looked like the best pg in the league. Not saying KP is not great but let KP get through a couple of seasons of putting up 30 pts and let him go through some playoffs before anointing him the best player in knicks history.

Seriously....

But its scary to see how easy KP gets 30 points. I keep saying he's not even polished. He still can't consistently attack the rim or take advantage of his size. Some games he doesn't even try and he still had 30 points. How much is he gonna average when he adds all these dimensions to his game? I could see him averaging 40 a game. He has the potential to be the most unguardable player in NBA history

Exactly. And when January hits and we're playing 12 out of 16 games on the road that month and KP has more ordinary games than he's having now, Chandler will probably be the first to start a "should we trade KP" thread.

Before people start anointing players remember we playing 12 out of our first 17 games at home this season. Our early season results may be a little skewed.

When he out performs Frazier's 36pts 19ast in game 7 of the finals. Or wins 3 chips surpassing Fraizer's 2.

ESPN currently has him listed as ranked 7th in the NBA overall. He's 2nd in PPG and 5th in BPG.
He ups his rebounds and he'll move up in the listing. But regardless, he's made amazing strides this season, and sitting amongst elite company.

Or when he out performs Reed's a regular season MVP, all-star game MVP, two NBA finals MVPs.

He's made amazing strides. I was thinking if he keeps this up for a long time, he can be considered the best Knicks scorer ever.

He can score 40-50 every game against most of teams, just keep him on a court

Ira @ 11/12/2017 6:40 AM
First, he needs to show that he can continue to do what he's doing now over the course of a season. Then he has to do that for a number of seasons. But, he's off to a good start.

Its mostly about health with him and his body type doesn't have a great history.

VCoug @ 11/12/2017 3:33 PM
After he's been doing this for 10+ years. He's been great so far but we're talking about 12 games. Ewing was a dominant player for us for a decade, 87-88 through 96-97, and was a very good player for a few years on each end of his career. Clyde had probably 8 great seasons for us, won two titles, and had possibly the single greatest Finals performance of all time in Game 7 of the 1970 Finals: . Willis Reed tends to get short shrift in these discussions but he spent 10 years here, won 2 titles, won the only NBA MVP in Knicks history and the only two NBA Finals MVPs in Knicks history.
teamsport72 @ 11/12/2017 4:42 PM
Krisīts is gonna be in the GOAT discussion unless he gets tired of playing idiot ball like Andris Biedriņš grew tired of.
