We win all the games when we score more points than our opponent. Except for those games when we can't stop them from scoring more points than we do.

I got your point. This team has been able to put together some very strong performances and unfortunately a bit of inconsistency has caused them to blow a couple of games that statistically teams usually win. I’m positive that teams generally win more games that they lead by 20+ points than they lose. Also just leading going into the 4th qtr in general teams tend to win at a much higher % than they lose!
When a team led the game after 3rd quarter, they won that game 77.48% of the time. On top of that, when also at home, this probability increased to 79.21%. Below table summarizes the cases according to the home/away factor.

imagine if we had traded Rose for Rubio? Maybe we don't add Hardaway - but I have to think we'd be up there record wise with a real, authentic PG!
8-6 is right. We are a young team and will struggle to close at times. So far we have gotten big shots from a variety of guys. KP, Timmy, McD, Frank, Lee... all have hit big crunch time shots.
The real test will be the 2nd half when we have some insane road trips. We are winning and looking good but time will tell if its sustainable.

You’re confusing the point. Statistically the Knicks should’ve been able to win in the games they had significant leads which is where the term BLOWN LEAD comes from. The Knicks failed to close out a couple of games that statistically favor teams with those leads. Being a team reliant on young players it’s understandable that they would make the kind of mistakes they did. Hopefully they can grow out of making those mistakes.

Reminder: 12 of our first 17 games are at home. In January we play 12 out of 16 games on the road. Always have to keep this in mind when discussing our record. We gotta build a win cushion in preparation for January.
