Need a different level of prep and mental toughness to win on the road

This was a game I was at least hoping they came out strong even if they didn't win. Hurts to see them with low energy and missing shots. Raptors are a seasoned team with legit to players so the Knicks have to learn how to come out against that level of team.
Funny thing is Knicks struggle against teams that are strong at PG and SF. That's where we have weakness.
Horny gotta work the refs. Other teams are getting away with murder on KP. Wally made a great point on the last foul on KP. They called offensive when Lowry was literally on his chest. He has to be able to move. Just because he is a foot taller doesn't mean you can be right on top of him

hahn echoed this sentiment in the post game. kp is being abused (by nba "superstar" standards) every time he touches the ball, jeff has got to call out the zebras.
They played us hard and we missed shots but that was THE WORST REFFING vs KP ever. They let that dude pummel him before and after he got the pass and just whack away under the hoop. Noguera did a huge fat shove in his back under the hoop. I think they just had to punish him for all his flopping last week. Look forward to playing them again.
KP got man handled tonight. Refs let them go at KP probably as a result of the Crying Wolf syndrome. KP has been flopping a lot and refs making him pay the price.
why they did not shot more 3s ? we where 40% from 3

Could be...
But I'm sure the Knicks are going to send a tape to the league. They were butching KP.
Good game for KP to see what can happen when you are the lone all star on a team and the opposing teams gets away with physical défense
KP may have been wise to step out and try to take more 3 point shots.
He is our best shooter in the starting 5 so when the opposing team has the ability to contain him inside on a night like that he should be evolving into a player that will step out and make them pay from there. Maybe take 8-10 three pointers. He let them take him out of the game and a truly all time great does not let a team do that.
This is why in ENYs thread i posted im ok with 30 to 35 wins and another top 10 draft pick.
We are 1-4 on the road and once the road and home games even out I see us a few games under .500 and out of the playoff 8.
We got a foundation with Kanter/Willy, KP, Doug, THJ and Frank. Add another top 10 draft pick, trade OQuinn for a first rounder, and we have a lot of assets there to work with. Future is bright.

If we lose games like this, and those same guys put up that kind of effort on a nightly basis, all of a sudden the future doesn't look so bright.
If we win the next match up, and the guys put up max effort, the coaching staff makes the proper adjustments, the future is promising.
W. Hernangomez looked TERRIBLE in those last 3-4 minutes.
If thats the performance he's showing at training, I can see why he is not getting any burn.

I agree. Even if his timing his off he should give energy.
