Knicks · I think we made history with that 28-0 run (page 1)

We held them to 1 field goal in the entire 3rd qtr..That was the was best defense i have seen since the mid
90's.

In this era of fast pace 3 point balling, that was so damn impressive

agreed a thousand percent.

Not sure you can go past 100%, but I think we can let it pass this time.

You just can't dismiss this team as being the same old Knicks.... this team fights. Very prideful group. Thet play so hard. Are time is now

Haven't watched this game yet (will do so later on NBA League Pass) but what group of ppl was key to this defensive achievment?
I think your right Eny... as a Knick fan you kinda have this urge to dismiss a stretch of good Basketball as a fluke... waiting for the same old crappy Knicks coming back... but this time it feels different and I agree... its the demeanor of these guys. They have pride and stand up for each other!
No more talking and empty words... they do it!

Less a fluke and more a result of playing a schedule heavy in home games. January will be very interesting and difficult, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I've been a Knicks fan since the days of Sweetwater Clifton, Willie Naulls and Richie Guerin and that is as good a quarter of Knicks basketball as I have ever seen.

Hardaway not signed for what he has been, but for what he is becoming.

This team has leadership. Teammates who want to play for each other.
The team isn't that talented on defense. They have players that can defend, but they are not Boston like talent wise with regards to defense.

It's effort. The effort is there with this group.

I don't expect us to dominate on defense, but we will be a team that can compete if we keep defending as hard as we have been. We're not even a high paced team. We're 26th in the league in pace, because we don't really have a point guard that can create that pace for us. Imagine we added a guard or wing that could push the pace a little. Even be better.

Yes it will. We play 16 games in January and 12 of them are away games.

I said after the game last night that the most important stat of Timmy's stats were....4 3pt fields goals. The old Timmy it would of been 9 or 10 of his 38 pts were from 3 pt field goals but this shows how Timmy has grown and how his game has evolved since he was last a Knick.

What will really test the team is how much effort they bring if they lose a few in a row which will happen on a road heavy schedule. Whether they stay motivated, keep the camaraderie and not devolve into a finger pointing mess. And very importantly if they can shut out the media and the inevitable witch hunt and starfukking that is to follow. That will decide what identity this team develops.
