Dolan, who was a director of the Weinstein Company from mid-2015 to June 2016, "knew of Weinstein's pattern and practice of predatory sexual conduct toward women from his personal relationship with Weinstein and his position as a director of TWC," according to the Manhattan Federal Court lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday

I'm inclined to believe the accusers. The toxicity oozes down from the top. This is the same guy who thought it was a good idea to let Isaiah head a WNBA franchise.

This is unfortunate and is another bad look for Dolan. That being said, even if Dolan knew what Weinstein did over the years, not sure why Dolan is responsible for that. It's really none of Dolan's business or concern as far as i'm concerned. Maybe i'm wrong though.
BRIGGS @ 12/6/2017 3:00 PM
At this point does it really matter? It was Weinstein and Isiah who caused the issues. I don't see where Dolan did anything. If being complicit is a crime then there is a lot more than 6 people guilty-- Dolan has the big pocketbook that's why he's being fingered here

Yeah, I'm not sure if they're angling in for a bigger pay day or they just want him as a witness. But the dude just seems tone deaf when it comes to these type of issues.

This is stupido bullshet in USA, all those #metoo stories are ridiculous

end result will be women will get less jobs in movie business, no one will hire them anymore, unless there will be no other options

A Lot of people knew Weinstein was awful.
Board of directors has a fiduciary responsibility. We love to paint Dolan evil when ever but this is not his issue.
Weinstein was fired by its board when full disclosure was apparent. Are the exboard members liable? We'll see!!
"Get in the truck" got a whole new angle on things.

If a director of a company knows that one of the employees is sexually harassing other people that work for the company and does nothing that's OK?

Yes is does matter! And if you read the article it is more than 1 person.

And...we are not even talking pre-social media days where not everything came to light anyway. Dumb move by Dolan to not say anything then, especially being in a position of some power

We are witnessing a cultural change.
From the perspective of new culture the society now accepted as mainstream for interaction between sexes, all man and woman who were leaving in old cultural context are guilty to some extend.
Some for active perpetration, some for closing the eyes, some for using the system to get along with power it was.
No wonder that all this cases are decades old. The culture is changing for a while already.
The best thing that coming out of this is that man or women in power will think trice before trying to take advantage of other people.
And the people on receiving end will be thinking trice before trying to prostitute them-self to get advantage over those for whom it is morally unacceptable.

How damning would this have to be to force a sale of the Knicks?

It would have to be explicit support not implicit.

Most of the stuff was old but some in 2015, not clear which month zo...

Women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, assault or rape. A group of them, led by Asia Argento, released a list of over 100 alleged instances of sexual abuse by Weinstein in November 2017. The incidents alleged in the list date from 1980 to 2015, and include 18 allegations of rape.

what did he know and when. Did he see something, or hear a rumor? One thing to hear that Harvey is a creep and pinches ladies behinds, another to know he tricks young actresses into his hotel room where he greets them in a bathrobe and asks for a massage, and then assaults them.

Even if it is the latter, and I don't know the law but probably as a director he would have been obligated to say something- and maybe stepping down was all he could do if the company was actively shielding him. 'Jim, we know Harvey is a creep. But Harvey is Harvey.' Anything more- stepping down, calling a press conference, etc would have been heroic- and I don't know you can fault someone for not running into a burning building.

If Wainstain is a recovering Sexogolic he is in line with Dolan himself and other people Dolan supported to get out of addiction.
Sexogolizm is one of the most widespread addictions which is stronger that tobacco, alcohol, and drugs together.
It is not recognized yet as mental illness but give it time...
As civilization we desperately need to limit the birth rate to absolute minimum and making any sexual advances culturally unacceptable should help a lot.
