Beasley 20/10 in 23 minutes.... still gets no respect

Unfortunately we need his offense even when Porzingis is in

Beasley needs to start over LT, I think with Beasley, kp, kanter and Lee as the 4th option this team would blow out opponents. Also can’t wait for thjr to be healthy, man do we miss thjr! Then we bring Lee off the bench and go with
Jack,frank
Thjr,Lee
Beasley,mcbuckets
KP,LT
Kanter, O’Quinn
But with that said horny has a hard-on for LT and Lee so neither of those will happen. I also wanna see frank with the starting unit .
But to get back to topic Beasley is to talented not to start and play big minutes, the guy can take over games

Here is the thing - Beasley should help KP. If we need scoring off the bench, move Kanter- then go with KOQ of move KP to 5, Beasley to 4 and LT at the 3.
I honestly wish McDermott could get his bleep together and be the knockdown shooter he was reported to be. I prefer having Beasley off the bench but I totally agree about kicking Thomas to the curb.

We're not that good to hide our best offensive player. We are seriously over working KP

Yeah, I'd definitely start Beasley over Thomas. Best case scenario would be to start McDermott and have Beasley off the bench, but Doug hasn't produced (in spite of the shot last night). So I guess I'm saying I agree with Beasley starting given the options.

Does Bea's need to start or does he need more minutes? I agree that you can't have Kanter and Beas in the same starting lineup and you definitely can't have Beas chasing wings. But I'm not comfortable starting off with KP at the 5 because of potential foul trouble. Maybe to start the second half?

I guess if you only look at precisely 1 aspect of the game you would want Beasley to start.
How about a defense? Jack, Kanter, Beas barely play there.
How about scoring off the bench? When the second unit comes in, who does the offense focus on?
How about the fact that KP and Beas play the same position offensively? Play them together and both negate what the other does.
What about the fact that Beasley wants to play PF rather than SF?
When Beasley is grooving or the Knicks need offense, he should get minutes. But you can't just look at one aspect of what the Knicks are trying to do and think it will cure all without considering the rest of what you are losing.

Yea in retrospect your right but,I feel it would help kp to have Beasley to take some pressure off him on offense. Beasley is a very good rebounder and there have been moments where he plays defense. I think it’s worth a try to have Beasley in the starting line up. If it doesn’t work we could always go back to Beasley on the bench.

Beasley is perfect off the bench, as his defensive lapses and ISO style fit/work better with the 2nd unit. O'Quinn is another solid bench player - but not good enough to be a consistent starter. We need to stop moving a bench player up to a starters player.
This has been the Knicks problem going on 6 years now

That's all a loser mentality.... you have to use the roster you have. Isn't that What we been crying about all these years?
You box guys into a role you think they are best suited ahead of what we have going on with our current roster. Im good with Beasley coming off the bench, but for Christsakes.... unless we are playing Cleveland, therss no reason lance should ever crack 20 minutes in any game. Beasley can get you 20-30 pts in any given game. In a team that lacks scoring and is over using their superstar as it is, why isn't this so under valued? Defense is important but if your team can't score then you have to blank other teams out. This is the nba not junior high school. You can't shut out anybody... unless of course you are the Knicks that bench their scorers
If we start Beasley we should go smaller quicker more able to score 110.
Porzingis/Kanter
Beasley/Thomas
McDermott/Lee
Lee/Baker
Jack/Frank
The switches would be
less minutes for KP - around 30
KP at 5
Instead of Beasley as the go to scorer off the bench it's Kanter
It's worth trying as our season is going down the tubes.

I'm actually ok with this. Kanter excelled off the bench in okc... besides Kanter plays well but he's not consistent. This definately could work. KP bust the pelicans ass the other day. Too easy. Make KP a center and watch him work. Start Beasley and watch him bust every power fwd ass. Excellent spacing.... then we drop the turkish hammer aka Kanter on them off the bench
If we had a 5 to protect the middle while KP protects the rim, then you could give BEAS A SHOT, yet because Kanter can’t move his feet against quicker 4 and 5 (most of the league), you can’t have “matador D” and expect to win. Nice theoretically but not well conceived.
Big thing is to get Hardaway healthy and back. Our motion offense has gone to pot without him, and don't forget that he's developed in a good penetrator off the dribble.
We are not the same team without him. KP is becoming a Melo clone with where we dump it in to him, and we know Beasley is an ISO player who doesn't move well without the ball.
Even KP was moving better without the ball when Tim was in the lineup.
I like Beasley off the bench...he's good to have if McDermott isn't shooting well, and he bails you out a lot.
I've grown to like Beasley, and want him back next year, but although he can block a shot now and then, he misses assignments on D, and as a SF, I don't feel he'd be good in Hornacek's motion system.
I was happy to see we can win a game on the road without Beas being superBeas!
I thought the ball movement was better even while we struggled to find a hope down the stretch.
Barea and Dirk could not hit a thing down the stretch.

Assist per game from the Forward-Center position
Kanter - 1.3
KOQ - 2.0
KP - 1.2
Doug - 1.0
Lance - 0.5
Beas - 1.3
And watching KOQ play you wouldn't think he gets 2 ast per game.
In comparison with the Spurs
LMA - 1.9
Gasol - 3.2
Anderson - 2.8
Kwahi - 2.1(only this low due to injury)
Gay - 1.5
This is why fans are begging for an elite ball dominant play making PG while the Spurs are fine getting 9.4pts and 8.7pts from theirs. Frank on the Spurs right now the way the ball would flow from the bigs and the forwards finding its way back to open men he would get more shots up within the flow while focusing his energy on locking down the perimeter.
Roster construction going forward needs both. Need better ball movers from the forward to center positions. Both from KP & Kanter getting better at it as well as players around them who excel in this area. As well as a crafty scoring PG for balance across the board. Hardaway provided 3.3 ast from the G/F spot which has been missed.
