If the Lakers and Walton part ways. The Knicks need to get on the phone and make him the Knicks next Coach.

Seems like the Lakers management have backed him and unified in their support.
Lavar is off the rails.
If phil was here, yeah I can see that.
fishmike @ 1/10/2018 1:41 PM
why is he better than Jeff?
Vmart @ 1/10/2018 2:16 PM
Why not? Is Jeff really doing a great job. I don’t think he is doing al that well. This team has more veteran leadership and better over all players than LA does and they struggle like hell to win on the road. The Knicks are pushing playoffs and technically are playing one rookie 20 minutes. While Lakers are playing two rookies and a second year player.

Walton is more in tune to NBA today. Jeff is kind of lost he is talking bully ball what is he in the 90s. Isolation play he took KP and made him into an inefficient Melo type player. This team needs to put up more threes which the Knicks aren’t doing enough of.

If a better coach comes available which Walton is the Knicks need to make a move. With that said LA won’t let him go. I think they move away from Lonzo before Walton.

Of course any other coach can be better than our present one.
Fact is, Luke could be worse. One never knows. Lakers are giving him lots of room to grow as head coach.
other than Lavar spewing nonsense, why is this even a subject?
Besides, Luke is part of the Laker fabric and did his internship with GSW. If anyone would grab him the CLippers would be smart to post Doc Rivers.
Doc is cashing them checks.

Knicks have a much better record than LAL. You also have a lot of guys with their career #s elevated, Knicks are in the W/L column than anyone predicted and they have improved on both sides of the ball.

Jeff is talking bully ball because he's got 5 centers and little depth at guard. Look the roster. Jeff is playing to the roster strengths. Knicks are big. Look at we are in rebounding. We are among the best in the league.

I dont see how you can think Jeff isnt doing a good job.

I think they would trade Ball before they did that, if things were to ever get really messy. Giving LaVar what he wants and letting him essentially call the shots would probably make this the worst run franchise in all of sports. He already runs a Lithuanian team now, they can't let him run the Lakers too just because his son is an above average prospect.

Fish, do you not see that we play only one young player (Rookie). Lakers are developing players Jeff can’t even get Willie any run or Dotson. This is a rebuilding year. The Knicks are basically playing for playoffs and actually it’s hurting development of Willie Dotson and basically hurting draft position. He is doing worse than last year.

Now adding Walton would be a huge jump in style of play. Better for development.

Walton sucks, and the lakers suck..lonzo father was right, his team checked out on him

The lakers got way more National televise games than the knicks this season, and that's because they were expected to be better than the knicks.

We are trying to build a winning culture, this isn't romper room, or chuckie cheese, we are fortunate to have quite of few veterans on this team, should we pay them millions of $$ to sit on the bench, or teach these kids what it takes to win

Yeah, Jeff was called revolutionary just a few seasons ago in Phoenix. He's trying to find ways to win with the roster he has. I'd like to see us shoot more threes, tho.

so Jeff is playing veterans who are helping to win games and you dont like that? Lakers dont have any veteran players who can help them win.

We only play 1 young player? Your making zero sense. What I am reading is you think the coach should be fired for not playing Dotson and Willy. They are 2nd round picks and the coach will play them more when they earn it. Jeff has been open about why they arent playing vs. the guys in front of them. Lee/Jack/Lance/Beas are all stop gap players in the rotation for very specific reasons. Dotson and Willy are 2nd rounders that need to earn their playing time.

I have to agree here. We need veterans to help build the culture. Right now, we are doing a better job at this than LA is. Lakers acting like ignoring LaVar and playing his son big minutes will make the problems go away. Not the case. Lakers are their own worst enemy as far as building a winning culture right now.

I have read lakers are a bit of a mess because of contracts.
Knicks1248 & Lavar. Great job!!
Lakers got more games on tv for expected ratings. Lakers are clearing for cap space.
Its a mess. Not ours.

Coach should look at his roster and if we big, then play big! If a team goes small and we can't match them toe to toe then we should play to our strengths.

This. Having continuity at the coaching position would be a nice change. Jeff has been more than competent this year in my opinion. Not playing Willy and Dotson is a non issue in my opinion.
