I don’t think that’s it at all. Nitty came out aggressively today and it’s not like he’s not gonna play. I do think Burke can show Nitty how to keep his dribble longer and stay aggressive but it’s not a fear thing.

Definitely. His best games have been against other point guards in his draft class and the LeBron game. He needs to be pushed.
can someone please give me first half synopsis minus just before trey burke went out?
porzingis played a team high 43.5 mins in the OT loss yesterday.

Would be nice. That is when I started watching as well. I was doing some stuff around the house and my wife yelled that Trey was in.

Yeah but not by his own teammates. How is Burke gonna push Frank to look for his own scoring when he’s sitting on the bench? Frank’s Position is secure. Burke has to show results to get minutes.
why is timmy not playing today?

His minutes have been cut by 1/3 recently. Have to think Burke being on the team pushes him. The Knicks need a back up to play 25 mins if he is capable.

Precaution....no ill effects from the game yesterday.

Rest. He played 35 mins last night and is coming back from an injury.

Knicks have played solid D and took away a lot of what the Nets wanted to do. Knicks played a little faster and did less Post Feeds or ISO.
Nitty came out aggressively, pushing the ball, looking up the floor for passes ahead. Knicks got more 3pt attempts than usual it seemed.

Trey can definitely teach and push him for minutes. That's a good thing. By watching Trey, he can see how he needs to play: maintain dribble, be aggressive, get in the paint, look for his shot, and if he's not aggressive, Trey will play. Trey also fits the rebuild timeline in age (25). It's healthy to have two young guys who are hungry battling for minutes.

Knicks took control of the game once the bench came in led by Burke. The lineup of Burke, Baker, Willy, Beasley and Doug played great on both ends of the floor (especially defensively), and we extended the lead to double digits. KP playing really well and shooting it well.

IMO it’s not about pushing Nitty. He only recently started to slump and before this he was making steady progress. He was reluctant in France so this is a longtime issue. Burke will end up taking Baker’s minutes IMO. Burke is here to add something different so they can reduce Jack’s minutes and IF Frank has a bad game or fouls they have a better option than Sessions was or go back to Jack!
This is exactly how they should use KP. Quick hits, Pick and pop, etc. Make the game easy for him.
