I agree with you. But do you not think that KCP can play SF? This is a league where position matters less. He's athletic and can defend. But it's just a question. I don't know enough about his skillset to decide for myself really. Otherwise i agree. I like our future SG combo of Hardaway starting with Dotson emerging as a quality 3-and-D backup.

KCP, if clean, is the real deal. Assume for a moment that Lee and Thomas are no longer on the team. Depending upon how we match up, three guards can work. Also, he’s a much better defensive player than Tim and can score. If KCP can be secured he can take Lee’s role, and unlike Lee who at 32-33 is getting Long in the tooth for defensive purposes, Pope fits like a glove

SG--Timmy--He's changed his game to being a good all around player
SF--KCP--3-D player and could really use his defense at the 3 spot

C--Robert Williams--He would fit perfect with this lineup playing next to KP. His defense is great.
6th man--C.Lee
So as you can see we'd be drafting R.Williams with our 1st round pick and if not him then another center that plays great defense.

We don't need his scoring when we have T.Burke, Timmy and KP on the floor with him even though he isn't a bad 3 point shooter but it would be about his defense which is really good. We need defense and KCP brings that defense from the SF spot. I know he's not typical SF size but the NBA is changing with positions being about size.

This... he's not bigger or better at anything more than THjr and Lee for that matter.
He's middle tier.
I would be more inclined to look at a guy like Randle who play defense and could be grabbed for money.

He’s averaging 14 ppg and 5 boards on a team that’s loaded with shooters. Meanwhile 1.7 steals, 24/25 years old and solid Defense. I like him lots.
After having a Unicorn we have to get A Centaurus too.

we need basically another young 6-7 player who can interchange well with hardaway, now you can label them SF, SG whatever you want but 6-9 might be too tall and slow to guard some SGs so someone that can switch on D and defend SF or SF would be nice. Like Lee's younger brother...wouldn't mind that.
Btw, Lee has not been a problem this season. Very consistent on a friendly deal. I think we have to draft our next SF.
We need a real 6'8"-6'9" Defensive SF that can guard the 3 and 4 positions. KCP is undersized and will probably cost too much. I would pass on him.

I agree with you but am curious as to what options that could possibly leave us with? Who fits this build that is a free agent in 2018 at a reasonable price or available via trade or that we could get around pick 12 in the lottery?
