Knicks · Unicorn Down!!!!! (page 1)

I don't watch every game. About half.
Saw the ankle turn. Mine hurt too.
Turned the game on saw that sweet Pass to KP and the awkward landing.

On a bright note, League pass gives the halftime entertainment and all of Kathy Sledge with Nile Rogers and the Harlem Gospel singers!
Pray for KP!!!!

Updates here please.

he got pushed in the air and landed poorly on the knee. Ill be pretty surprised if he didnt tear something. Good thing is its most likely ACL/MCL which means even if torn its usually a clean recovery and you get all your hops back. Fingers crossed.

Sorry...that's good news?

Yikes.

Nalod @ 2/6/2018 9:18 PM
Wait, ACL tear is a good thing?
Whats the bad thing?
VCoug @ 2/6/2018 9:18 PM
Fuck, just got home and saw the video. That looks bad. Hard to imagine there isn't ligament damage.
EnySpree @ 2/6/2018 9:25 PM
I tore my acl the exact same way... going for a layup in an awkward way across the rim.... landed the sane way and held my knee the same way... this really sucks

patella tendon, other kinds of damage limit range of motion, cause friction (swelling) etc... ALC while about a year to recover from are usually that, a full recovery. Time will tell

I don't think that means anything. I've had friends who've torn their ACL before and they all said that it was a very bad, sharp pain but it went away quickly and were able to walk around without much of a problem. I'm not going to believe there isn't ligament damage until we hear about the results of the MRI.

Welpee @ 2/6/2018 9:59 PM
Don't know anything about ACLs but does the fact that he grabbed the back of his knee mean anything?
BRIGGS @ 2/6/2018 10:23 PM
I think it's a bad sprain but his season is over
TPercy @ 2/6/2018 10:25 PM
Quit playing he will be available on Sunday.
franco12 @ 2/6/2018 10:29 PM
I don't want to wish anyone hurt, least of all KP - but I am almost hoping he is done so we can stop pretending that we are anything but a crap, rebuilding team.

Yeah, I have that same feeling. Not that he's done for the year but it's a sprain-type situation.

When do the Knicks ever do something smart?

Yes that's where you feel the pain at first.

JesseDark @ 2/6/2018 10:40 PM
Going all the way back to Bernard King's injury, it's never good when they pound the floor. Just my observation.

Yep, we are not out of the woods yet. This is why you never trade 1st round picks because the Knicks might be the worst team in the NBA after his MRI

I remember a game in college where Rasheed Wallace got hurt and you would've thought he had been shot and it ended up being a relatively minor injury. Also that famous clip of Paul Pierce leaving the floor in a wheelchair...and returned to the game! So I'm going to think positive.

There is a conspiracy theory that Paul Pierce shat his shorts and he rode out in the wheelchair to cover up the stains on his ass
