1.) He should have gone to college.
2.) He's like the Jay Cutler Tim Tebow of point guards. Has the size, speed and strength that all looks good on paper, but when you watch him play, he's just not that good.
3.) Not interested.
Jesus....he is on his way.
Yep..he is coming for
mcdermott

Ok, that is worth it, IMO. I like Doug but...
Well....you got part of it right. Doug for Mudiay. Like it.
Stupid trade
with that said...what does this mean for Frank?

For Tim, yes stupid. For dougie, whats the risk? $4m next year, that it.

Frank has to pick it up and if not, Mudiay is inusrance.

Nothing. Mudiay get a year to prove himself and is a big guard that can share the court with Frank. Mudiay could be a long-term backup combo guard for all we know. Just gives us a low-risk option.

Did we give up a second for this deal?
Mudiay for McDermott is fine. He can be our new pet project since Willy is gone.
Maybe he Timmy can show him the way to live up to the talent.
Glad we did not have to trade Timmy for him!
Thoughts - he has talent that maybe could blossom in a new environment. He should be hungry since he hasn't proven himself in Denver. I know the Knicks looked at him closely back when he was drafted. He's 6'5 and athletic, but needs maturity and more playing time to see if he can put it together. We now can offer that since we're not going anywhere anytime soon. Not a bad trade IMO
Mudiay is maddening to watch. Terrible Basketball IQ. Will drive you crazy.

Not sure he is a pg, or for that matter need not have a dedicated label on any of these guys. Kid is 6-5, got size and low risk.
Flip side, Denver dumped him. Think their fans are not up in arms thinking they could have had a late 1st rounder for him?
Does Dallas know dougie is not parsons?
What would he be like at the SG spot?

I think that this is what will happen. He's improved his shooting and his defensive limitations won't be as much of an issue at SG.
I watched him a lot his first year, and me used to drift from his man defensively in an alarming way. He seems to be a poor perimeter defender, but I have not watched him as much this year.
For me the most promising thing is that he has improved his shot from distance, and his foul shooting has improved dramatically since his rookie year.
It also looks like he has gotten larger physically, but I don't know how much weight he's gained. He does look like he's filled out, which would help him defending at the 2.

Thanks for the analysis, I haven't watched him play since we were all scouting for those "case for..." threads back in the KP draft
