Kind of like bringing Frank and Mudiay off the bench at the same time. For a while anyway, Jack is still steadier.

I agree. I also like Kornet as the back up 4.
Mudiay who can go into DD but who prefers shooter
I like what I saw in this game.
Mudiay showed how he can help the team and his potential. 10 assists in his 1st game as a Knick without any practice time--impressive. I like the pace in which he plays the game always under control and is a superior ball handler.
Mudiay and Frank worked really well and the played most of the game together. Frank looked much better and more aggressive off the ball looking for his shot. I think there's potential there as a backcourt tandem.
I'd like to see more of the 3 guard lineup going forward of Mudiay, Frank, THJ (or Dotson). I like this unit both defensively and offensively.
Knicks played well on the road without KP against a good time. Didn't fold.
They should feature Kanter more, and KO should start with Kanter
Its clear as day that Mudiay is the most talented pg on the roster...This is not an overreaction, its just an honest evaluation....Frank and Mudiay can play together in spurts, but neither shoot it well enough to play extended mins together.

Just goes to show that he's a flat-out baller...System guys would have struggled tonite.
Kind of ironic the Melo trade gaves us a lottery pick FROM Denver
KO and Kanter Need that consistent charles Oakley jump shot

Thats going to happen a hell of a lot over this final 25 games so you had better get used to it. I can see us losing 17 straight, this being game 7 of the 17.
Maybe but that doesn’t mean I have to understand nor like it. Seems these guys would have enough personal and competitive pride to keep them from getting their butts kicked night after night. It reflects pretty poorly on the players, coaches, and team leadership (or lack thereof).
Well...you can't have it both ways.
You can't play like a playoff team and get a high pick!
The best scenario is to play hard, lose close games, and get a high pick. All while giving the youngsters quality NBA minutes of on the job training.
But you can't have it both, when you are rebuilding for the 1000th time.....

Didn't we love Tre Burke a couple of weeks ago? I am totally on board with the Mudiay trade but I want to see a bigger sample size before jumping on his bandwagon.
Which means jack should go to the bench and mentor this guys
What draft picks besides our own do we have for this years draft?

I still like Burke. Didn't play much tonite. I like his game offensively--the question is can he defend because of his size?

Thought Burke did his job in this game even in limited minutes.

I think Tre Burke has mismatch issues on defense. We already have mismatch issues with our bigs....So thats going to hurt Burke moving forward, when you now have a real PG at 6'5 with a 7'0 wing span, who pushes the ball. But I like how Burke looks on offense....Knowing Hornacek, he probably will cut Burkes minutes.
I prefer we cut Jacks minutes since the goal is no longer making the playoffs, but developing and evaluating roster talent.

I agree, I don't see the need to continue playing Jack at this point. He did his job when we were trying to contend for a playoff spot. His job now is to mentor the point guards and he can do that without playing a single minute. However, I would approach him about whether he'd like to be cut in order to possibly get picked up by a playoff team (i.e. Wizards would've been a perfect spot of him). If he's cool staying here in a mentor role I'd love to keep him on the bench.
