Knicks · Knicks are a lock for 9th pick (page 1)

Panos @ 3/7/2018 10:59 PM
They're going neither up nor down. Too many games separating 8, 9, and 10th pick, with too few to play.

Who is your pick at #9?

nixluva @ 3/7/2018 11:01 PM
Um the Bulls won tonight and are only 1.5 games ahead of the Knicks. The 8 spot is still in play!
StarksEwing1 @ 3/7/2018 11:08 PM
Way too many games left. Knicks have a fairly tough schedule so they can possibly move up

Tankathon says Mikal Bridges and I'd sign up for that right now.
Sangfroid @ 3/8/2018 1:20 AM
The Kentucky product, Kevin Knox would be a nice addition at #9. Of course, we could catch lightning in a bottle and move into the top 3! That would really be interesting!

Yep, I broke down the odds in the tank thread, we still have a shot at 7 or 8, could even get luck and end up with 5th or 6th

8 looking better and better. Given KPs absence and Kanters defensive issues, I’m up for a 5 in the draft. If not Porter, Bamba or Jackson maybe around.
meloshouldgo @ 3/8/2018 6:32 AM
What you need to look at is how much these teams are playing each other. The nets may try hard to win a couple games, their pick goes to Cle. There's like 6 teams with almost an identical record. Someone will move up, some will move down.
SupremeCommander @ 3/8/2018 11:30 AM
The tournament will really shape my views one way or another. Right now, Kevin Knox would be my preference. Mikal Bridges is second though... I think Knox has more upside but also more downside. I think the Knicks needs a difference maker though and as a result I'm much more willing to take the risk.
SupremeCommander @ 3/8/2018 11:36 AM
nbadraft.net has us taking Collin Sexton. Maybe Frank turns out, maybe he doesn't. But right now we have a bunch of crap at PG (I like Trey Burke but ideally he's a backup). i loved this line from his draft profile, "He's a player that loves the spotlight and seems to be energized by the bright lights and stiff competition". I also really like "He plays with tremendous passion and seems to perform his best in big games ... With his two-way skillset and determination, Sexton has a chance to be a quality lead guard in the NBA". That's the type of personality that would thrive here.
EnySpree @ 3/8/2018 3:01 PM
Doesn't matter... we're still gonna be looking at the same 3 players.... Knox, and the 2 Bridges boys.... even if we have bad luck and fall back in the lottery, one of those 3 will be available. Only thing interesting is if we finally get lucky and move up into the top 3.
Kemet @ 3/8/2018 4:34 PM
Having poor effort consistently from Kanter and TIRED KP we need a SF like Draymond Green (Barkley) to make the two defensive liabilities into winners .. Mikal Bridges

KnickKnox? Cheesy, very cheesy

Mikal Bridges went beast mode today... I am now 50/50 between him and Knox and if he stays consistent through March I will definitely want the Knicks to draft him
WaltLongmire @ 3/9/2018 12:28 PM
We are due to get lucky and move up when the balls are picked...Hard to comprehend how unlucky we have been, though you can make a case that dropping to #4 in the KP draft was a blessing in disguise.

At some point we have to catch some good fortune.

Mikal Bridges is Mr. consistency too on both ends of the floor. We need that.

I'm starting to jump on his bandwagon. His jumper is smooth as hell. And he keeps improving. He will continue to get better and expand his game.

Who is your pick at #9?

Bagley
Doncic
Ayton
Jackson Jr.
Bamba
Mikal Bridges
Porter
Carter Jr.
Young
Sexton

There are 10 guys i see as elite prospects. If we land at 9, i am choosing whichever feels like a better fit from the 2 that are likely to be remaining.

If Bridges is on the board, he is my preference.

cant obsess about draft position. Its silly. You do your best to tank and live with what happens. Knicks have lost like 15 of 17 while playing the kids. The Knicks are doing what they can.

Knixkik I dont like those guards. Trey Young is in no way an NBA player. Sexton is better but very small also and his drives will be much less effective at the next level. The guard I like the most is SGA.

This is def a draft where it gets very dicey after 6-7 so a spot lost or won can make a big difference.
