Nerlens Noel: Already a terrific defender (which we desperately need), young, and undervalued because of being buried in Dallas because he wouldn't sign a contract.
Jerami Grant: Tenacious young PF who plays defense, which we need badly.
Mario Hezonja: Hasn't performed up to standards but seems to be coming around recently. I believe that Perry drafted him.
Thaddeus Young: Older (29) but a very good, possibly undervalued PF.
They might all be in our price range, especially if we stretch Noah. I'd grab Noel, Hezonja and Grant if I could get all three.

I'm a no on Noel... I know he is a very capable defender, but what value does a big that doesn't have a jumper have in today's NBA?
I'm probably most interested in Grant because while not special, he always seems to be improving
Hezonja... meh... I just wrote in another thread about getting him but it's hard to be pumped about signing him
Young would be a really good fit in theory but he doesn't fit our profile so i doubt management signs him

Imagine Noel, KP, Frank, Baker and Mikal on the court together. That would be a TREMENDOUS defense, something that we sorely lack.
Then throw in Burke, Hardaway, Lee, maybe Beasley and Dotson and we have plenty of offense too.
Noel got busted on for peds.... his name keeps on getting mentioned in here. He's not a very good basketball player. Defense is important but we shouldn't want him because he was drafted with that rep 20 years ago. Dude has been a bust so far in his career

Saw that he got caught. I was wondering why his suspension was shorter than Noah's
Grant and Hezonja are the best options. I also think Looney from GS may be a good player to take a flier on.
I just watched Hezonja play against us and he'd one of our 5 best players. Sign him up.
I like the first 3.
Hezonja is a former 1st round pick....lots of talent.

I'm not sure he was doing that all year. He seems to be up and down. Lets hope he's prisoner of the system, and needs a new system. Love the Grant add....young wirey like the gleague dude we already have. But I'm never against adding young long active players...plays 3 critical positions (SG, SF, PF) in todays small ball.

Hezonja was also a prisoner of not getting a lot of burn earlier on because of Evan Fournier, who has been injured recently, freeing up time for him. I wonder what he's going to cost? If we stretch Noah and O'Quinn leaves I'd throw $7 million at him, Grant and Noel. Then draft Mikal Bridges or Carter and we have a good, young team. Plus a new coach, of course. What about Jarrett Jack?
The guys on NBA radio were speculating that the nets aren't going to resign Hollis-Jefferson. If he is available I would love for the knicks to get him. I believe the nets have his rights. If two second round picks could get him to the knicks I think they would have to do it. This is based on guys saying the nets don't want him.
