Pretty much everyone ive seen come out loves the hire. He was one of if not the best coachng choice on the market

Definitely, this is very good news. He wasn't my top choice but Budenholzer's probably going to Milwaukee anyway.

Reports say he is going to meet with kp in Latvia. Good start.

Yeah either one would have been a great pickup.

Well all we need now is some talent

Another reason to like him, besides his coaching ability and his wife...

PhilinLA @ 5/3/2018 9:50 PM
I hate this. They had better options, and only one or two worse options. Bad coach got fired for not getting along whith a Big Euro. Our best player is a Big Euro. Another bad move by a team that hasn't won since the early `70s. Indictment of another terrible FO.

The issue with Gasol is worrisome but I am sure it was discussed at length. I think Fiz has to have learned from it and it willnot be an issue with KP.

This hire is trying to get the Knicks to play in today's NBA.

If FIZ can attract some players than good.

Fiz of Budz were my final two. I am cautiously optimistic this is a very good move.

To me, this screams "we gotta get FA's to NYC, ASAP", Fiz being a strong recruiting chip, and if we're talking 2019 Giannis, sign me up. Keep the process rolling gents (and god please no quick-fix starphucks).

Exactly how I feel. Hopefully the Dolan interview didn't include any stupid ass LeBron talk

This, I can get behind.

meloshouldgo @ 5/3/2018 10:21 PM
I would have begin happier with Bud after reading up on him. Fiz seems to be good too, but also seems to have a couple of questions marks. If Bud turned them down then ok
RedVines @ 5/3/2018 10:28 PM
Felt Fiz was the best combination of having his finger on the pulse of the league and connecting with players (excluding Memphis's adopted son), but obviously have to see how he handles what will be an even tougher challenge with more media scrutiny. He thought he had more juice than he did in Memphis but if he's working closely with the front office then I think a lot of drama can be avoided. I'm not sure what kind of talent evaluator he is either but I hope he helps Perry/Mills avoid future seasons of having guys like Jack as your starting PG. This will definitely be a brand new era of Knicks basketball, change is coming fast. Kanter better work on his 3-ball if he's opting in...

His feud with Gasol about looking to push the pace I believe. Nothing to do with Gasol being Euro. And KP plays nothing like Gasol.

Look what he did with that Memphis team the yr prior.

Knicks Kool Aid now comes with extra fizz!

All you need is some OJ!!

He's phenomenally unimpressive. This was a result of 11 meetings? Hoy crap. Dolan said it would be a player developer. No evidence of that. Mills and Perry said he'd install a defensive identity. Really? They also said he's realize he's part of a team with the two of them. I think that's all they got.

Good thing Coach Fisher isn't around anymore. I mean, Matt Barnes ex is nice, but Natasha craps on here. These are the type of tools that will help in free agency.

Give Fizdale a chance, the alternative is ugly.

Finished 7th in the east last season. Ahead of Blazers, Nuggets, Pelicans, better record than the Bucks and same record as the Hawks.

With Gasol, Conley and a 35 yr old Zach Randolph as its main pieces. An overall less talented team than all those teams mentioned above. With Conley playing 69 games.

He doesn't have enough yrs in as a head coach to tell if he is really good coach or not.

The next season he coached 19 games and went 7-12 with Conley playing 12 of those games and being injured since the season started and not much other talent(sand Gasol 33).

Don't know exactly what you are basing anything on when you claim underwhelming.

Take that for data! lol
