Beasly has been working on his defense for 9 seasons, Kanter for 5, melo for 12. I really look at frank as a bruce bowen type of impact player.

Their problem is IQ, effort, length, athleticism. Things that are a lot harder to develop. Franks issues are mostly developing craft which will help him gain confidence and filling out into his body. 2 things which he shown flashes of the last few games of the season.

Bowen played 4 years of college ball and still went undrafted and didn't make a team until he was 25. Didn't get real PT until he was 26. And didn't become a fixture until he was 30. Frank was viewed as a lottery talent at 18 with no real S&C coming in.

Frank is very dedicated to developing his game. And is currently still 19 yrs old until end of next month. He is only *2 months* older than Trae Young.

Great PGs are often not high scorers. Nash, Magic, Isiah Thomas all were like 19-20 of scorers, not 25+ scorers. I think Frank will easily develop into a consistent 18 pt. scorer, with 8+ assists and superb defense. That is about all you should want or could hope for.

Wonder if folks would like a longer and more versatile version of Mo Cheeks, who led Philly to a title?

There was also Dennis Johnson, another player who did what he had to do to win.

Don't see why Frank cannot be a 15PPG, 8/9 APG, 4/5 RPG, 2+ SPG PG/SG and a 3 position defender when he finally reaches his full height and maturation.

A lot will be determined by his offensive confidence...but I think he has much more offensive ability than he has shown so far...and, as I alway say, it is all in his head.

Yup... I have to watch him a little more closely to see how he holds his position in the post...there were a few times last year on switches where I was stunned that he didn't get pushed around by a much bigger man. He has to do something with leverage to do it, but I haven't done my own close up analysis. I know the long arms are important, as he throws them up and causes trouble.

If we have the right roster, you could see him being used as a fireman type defender to cancel out an opponents who is causing issues. One reason to have your 1, 2, & 3 in that 6'4"-6'7" range so you can play around with match-ups.

Sounds like a lot of the young guys are working out in NY.

That 3 second Mudiay clip wasnt very inspiring, lol.

Cartman718 @ 6/5/2018 6:09 PM
i wasn't even sure what to make of that...looks almost accidental
knicks1248 @ 6/5/2018 6:22 PM
Thought is was a joke
Nalod @ 6/6/2018 7:48 AM
just another example that Mudiay is underdeveloped. Even his humor is suspect!!!
A year under Larry Brown would not have helped him. Maybe Doug Moe or Nellie would have helped?

Larry Brown's sense of humor was not his strong suit.

Pretty big difference... You saw him getting a little bigger by the end of the season...clearly he's continued to put in his time in the weight room.

And he'll still be a teenager during the upcoming draft, and almost into August.

I’m excited for the kid. He’s getting a chance to build his body and refine his skills. The confidence this will give him is huge. I’m expecting a big jump for him. I wish there was more info on Mudiay. He also needed to put in work this summer and I’m curious how he’s progressing.

Frank is going to really impress this year. His main attributes are his length, defensive ability and work ethic. The offense will come. So excited to see him play again.

Agreed im real excited. Its a shame some want to get rid of him just because he didnt light it up offensively as one of the youngest players in the league. The offense will come and i wouldnt be surprised if he has a pretty big leap this year in offensive numbers. His defense is already a threat and will only get better
nixluva @ 6/10/2018 12:10 PM
The Prince is just a man about town!
Cartman718 @ 6/10/2018 8:18 PM
cant wait to see Frank on the court again. Hopefully he's playing summer league this year.
