Have you lost your mind? Frank should stay. He's younger than most of the kids coming out this year. He's a winner and would fit right in with the Warriors or the Spurs because he's unselfish and doesn't need the ball to make his team better.
If we're lucky enough to get Carter, we'd have KP, Carter, Frank as core pieces, all long and talented, and probably one more high pick next year. That's how you build a winning franchise.

what is his range?
16-30 is where he is falling on the sites I follow. A couple of draft sites, Deanondraft and The Stepien make a case for Huerter being a better pro then Mikal Bridges.
30? I haven't seen him going anywhere near 30. I've seen anywhere from late lotto to mid 20's. I'd love to get the two picks from the Clips at 12 and 13 and get Huerter and Miles Bridges or Z.Smith or R.Williams.
If I had to guess from I've read, 22-25 seems about right. Lottery might be stretching, but I haven't been following Heurter buzz the past few days. And no, I wouldn't do this trade. If you like Huerter that much than just draft him or trade down. I'm not advocating either stategy, just saying.
We need more 'trade Frank for a mid to late 1st round pick' threads by BRIGGS- two in one day just isn't enough!

Yeah true lol but at this point Briggs has probably already moved on to his next "great trade proposal" or "draft choice"

Huerter to me resembles Klay Thompson- a core player on a team that has won 3 chips in 5 years. Frank lacks elite athleticism position advanced offensive skills. He's not big enough to guard elite wings. If I had the choice to flip Frank for Huerter I'd do it. Look at his shooting stroke and range. He already has advanced NBA skill

You want to trade Frank AND a future #1 for Huerter ??? Way, way way overpaying. Deals like that kill a franchise. In essence 2 lottery #1 picks for a player NOT even projected to go in the lottery. Briggs you may know talent but you are NO GM.

I’m not sure what the price would be —- if it was Frank alone that would be great.
I think Huerter represents-much more what we see on elite teams inthe nba than Frank. As far as changing opinion my bet is Huerter changed a lot of opinions later in the process
If I got Carter and Huerter I know what I have at 4-5 and 2. I have zero clue what position Frank plays. I know some people like that in the nba— but one minute of watching Huerter Shoot should change opinions

Some of the comparisons for Huerter are Kyle Korver without as good a shot. I don't think you move Frank for Huerter. Huerter at 16 might make you look smart as a gm. Huerter for Frank and a pick gets you fired.

You know exactly what position Frank plays and can play don’t play the I don’t know. Frank will be much better than Huerter. Try not to fall in love with players that are flavor of the draft.

I'm sure someone with the Pistons threw that argument around when they drafted Luke Kennard. Heurter is not worth that much.

If we like Huerter THAT much we can just draft him at #9 because no one will like him more than that.

9 is the end spot where I see tier 1. The value of drafting at 9 this year might be to high mess with. The wildcard in this is Porter's health.
What is at 9? One of Carter Bridges or Young--assuming Porter gonzo. If its Bridges--than I might have different opinion. If its Carter--Id be all in using Frank to get Huerter. My opinion. Huerter is a Reggie Miller /Klay Thompson like 3 point shooter. Thats more than Frank.

Ntlikina is going to have Huerter’s lunch every time. Dotson is a better shooter than Huerter.
If Wendell Carter is there at 9 we'd better take him.

Just awful, I didn't even want to draft Frank but from a value standpoint that is just criminal. Frank down the stretch started to come on. While I'm not opposed to trading him I would need a lot more than a mid first round pick. Not only that but I'm giving away a future first as well? Horrible trade

That makes sense depending on money and length of the deal. I don't want to tie up another 15 million for 4 years to a player like that

This ain't no trade, it's Briggsian dystopia. Complete bunk.

Huerter is a shooter, but that 2 for 1 deal just doesn't work. If you love him so much take him this draft.

I can see Porter still being there at #9 because of the question marks. That's why we're flying out to take a good look at him this week in Chicago.

Is Huerter worth taking a chance? We already know Frank is going to be an elite defender, year in, year out, health permitting. Have to see if Frank will have an offense to go with it.
Contrary to what many believe here, dont believe we will need beyond this season to know if Frank can be at least a capable scorer. A shot at a rookie getting some late publicity, isnt worth it.
Doncic, Fultz, those guys are the kind of players worth parting with Frank. Mega upside.
